Having Trouble Adopting a Pet?


**UPDATE (Feb. 5, 9:30AM EST) These issues should now be resolved.

**UPDATE (Feb. 4, 10:30AM EST) If you tried to adopt a pet and now cannot log in, please email webkinzsupport@ganz.com with your username and details of the issue.


**UPDATE (Feb. 3, 4:25PM EST)** If you have fewer than 650 pets, it’s now safe to adopt your pet at the Adoption Center.

Recently some players have reported not being able to adopt new pets at the Adoption Center. When an error occurs, one of the following will happen:
1) After you enter the pet’s name, you get a server error.

 

2) After you fail to adopt a pet, you also can’t log into your account.

 

3) If a bad word is attempted as a pet name, the adoption process stops but you don’t receive an error message.

 

 

It appears that these issues are only affecting accounts with a very large number (200+) of pets. If you do run into one of these issues, please don’t adopt any new pets just yet and contact Customer Service to allow access to your accounts.

 

Ganz is actively working on fixing these issues. We’ll post another announcement when the issues are resolved.

      If you haven’t joined yet, Click New Member, or if your already joined, Log in, New Member: Follow the steps, and go to the Map, Click adoption center. Returning Member: Log In, Go To Adoption Center

    We had that happen and got the error message, but when we logged back on, the new pet was there. (We have 225 pets on that account)

      Your new pet is there, but can you actually use your account? I can see my pet also–the adoption worked–so the initial explanation given by Ganz above is inaccurate. The issue is that even though I can log in and see that my new pet is there, I must respond to a message telling me that I cannot access WW, etc. Until that box is closed, I cannot do anything on the account, and closing the box puts the account into log out mode. I do have a large account but I personally do not believe that is the issue. My advice to everyone out there is STOP ADOPTING PETS b/c the next one you adopt might be the one that keeps you out of your account! Ganz Customer Service, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE respond and get us back on our accounts! Please, before we miss the promised jar of winter jelly beans and the candy collection….Please.

        I haven’t had that problem. So far, I have been able to access my account. The update from Ganz (above) says that the problem has been fixed. Hopefully your account will work again, kaye10.

    I haven’t had any problems, thank God!!! And I have been adopting 1-2 pets a week. But I am not quite at 200 pets either. But getting close at 183 :)

    Several days now and still cannot access my account…have had no reply from the Customer Service email address…Thank you for recognizing this as a problem; however, the problem seems so major that it would seem to warrant extra allocation of resources to correct people’s accounts in the meantime…as someone else has pointed out, this is affecting your biggest spenders but also someone noted this is also happening to accounts with minimal pets, so perhaps the problem is much larger than first recognized. Anyway, I am writing here in search of some further reassurance that the problem is being remedied, and also in search of advice as to what more can I do? Obviously when (??) I re-gain access to my account I will not be adopting any more pets until I know this is no longer an issue. Thank you so much for all your hard work. I know my pet is not real, but he is very real in virtual WW and right now he is an abandoned adoptee. Please pass on to Ganz that accessible phone help would be SO VERY MUCH appreciated :)

    hmm I have 62 webkinz and it still gives me rooms but I don’t know and I have 4 that I still have not log in and ps I got the 4 webkinz at the 1.00 store :D

    I have MULTIPLE issues with pets, gift boxes AND other things. I’m assuming it’s because I have so many pets. I was having trouble adopting the POTM at first, but then I went to my mobile webkinz and chose my oldest pet and that at least allowed me to enter my account. I didn’t know it was a common error that was occurring so I adopted another pet (the retiring Ice Dragon) and it happened again! Now I know I won’t be adopting any more for a while, but I hope the issues are fixed soon! I have a mistletoe mouse gift box that’s been there since December, but when I try to drop it in my room I get the error message. I also have 3 each of 2 different pets in my “pets” section, but have only adopted one of each. These two pets have been stuck off and on. I find And, it’s hard to get anyone to fix these issues because they no longer allow you to talk with customer service. I have tons of rooms. Actually I kinda wish we could sell them back because I think my account would move a lot faster if I didn’t have so many. Or upgrade a small room to a larger room.

      were you responding to my comment? if you were, then you cant help me anymore. besides, i still have the ADORABLE plush elaphant. it was acctually an account for my mother, and she dosen’t care if she has an account or not. she likes the stuffed animal. and to answer your second question, my username is popy380. whats YOUR username? just so i know. >~pop~<
