Having Trouble Adopting a Pet?


**UPDATE (Feb. 5, 9:30AM EST) These issues should now be resolved.

**UPDATE (Feb. 4, 10:30AM EST) If you tried to adopt a pet and now cannot log in, please email webkinzsupport@ganz.com with your username and details of the issue.


**UPDATE (Feb. 3, 4:25PM EST)** If you have fewer than 650 pets, it’s now safe to adopt your pet at the Adoption Center.

Recently some players have reported not being able to adopt new pets at the Adoption Center. When an error occurs, one of the following will happen:
1) After you enter the pet’s name, you get a server error.

 

2) After you fail to adopt a pet, you also can’t log into your account.

 

3) If a bad word is attempted as a pet name, the adoption process stops but you don’t receive an error message.

 

 

It appears that these issues are only affecting accounts with a very large number (200+) of pets. If you do run into one of these issues, please don’t adopt any new pets just yet and contact Customer Service to allow access to your accounts.

 

Ganz is actively working on fixing these issues. We’ll post another announcement when the issues are resolved.

    i never had any problems i didn’t know that kind of stuff happened in webkinz world and i have 29 pets never had trouble adopting any pets.

    Is it safe to adopt pets now? I have 949 pets and am scared to try. The last time it was locked up for over a week. Has anyone tried that has 600 or more pets? Thanks

    When I contacted Ganz as instructed to do here, I was told these issues should be fixed during the next update on February 19th. It should be safe then to adopt pets on accounts with over 200 pets hopefully. I’m really hoping so, I really would like to adopt more pets. More adoptions mean more sales for Ganz, so I hope they take this issue seriously.

      Don’t you think that a bit long to wait, to regain access to one’s site? That is 2 1/2 weeks. Gardens die, activities are missed , and then there is the issue of no fun.

    Thank you for restoring my site.. I feel you (Ganz) could have avoided this huge problem.. 1. Notify your members , 2 have a better system in place, for members to contact tech members, (seems you only want to talk with a member if they are buying something) 3. Your customer service NEEDS WORK.I am a Deluxe member, I don’t like paying to “please wait” or “We can’t log you in at this time , Come back later” I feel there is compensation due your members , My site was down 80 hours, it is a mess . I don’t know when it will be safe to adopt the last three pets I have purchased, I have 636 children. When I first opened my account , I went into your Q&A area you state there isn’t any limit on the amount of pets one has… Has this changed? Do we now have limits? Frankly I’m not sure of my site.. What I am sure of is you (Ganz) continue to take my money for a deluxe account… If I asked you to please wait.. Would you? I don’t think so.. Members need a tech to speak with not the computer, That by the way we couldn’t get through to any one with our issues,…. So , again what good did that do your members.. I’m sure there are many ,many members that feel the same as I do. I am not at this time a satisfied customer .

    Oh. I have like.. over 500 items in my dock… Is that not safe? Like, if I adopt a new pet, will this adoption problem happen because of my dock-count? My dock has seriously doubled over the past couple weeks and that kind of scares me I honestly don’t understand how I got so many items. Most of them are clothes. I don’t have the money to store them, and my pets are clothed… I hope that if I adopt a POTM this month that it will not glitch because that would be so saddening.

      Hi Webkinz_Love22. Having a lot of Dock items won’t cause adoption center issues, so don’t worry. If you feel like you have too many items in your Dock, you can always gift them to friends or sell them at the W Shop, too! Have fun!

    I already have a webkinz when you look online and you find a webkinz that you like you sometimes do not see them in stores
