Dear Webinzworld, Thank You for reminding us of the guidelines. It’s good to refresh our memories of the rules. I have one question: I previously adopted the Purple Canary. (I think that’s what is was called). I know is was a purple bird. I was going to name the bird “Purple Punch” but I was unable to use the word “Purple”. I could however misspell this work and it was accepted. If you can use Purple to describe and name this bird, why can’t I use the same spelling to name my pets? Thank You for all you do!
Excellent question, Ganz. Will you answer it, please? If you can use the word “purple”, why can’t GramaDeb?
ha extremely long posts I just broke that one today before I read this (sorry;(
Thanks for the update – I think the rules are great.
Ganz, I agree with all of these rules. Thank you for making webkinz world fun and safe. I really mean that. THANK YOU! But I don’t understand, what’s wrong with running contests that offer prizes. Can you explain?
about the contests that offer prizes: could i just say the first person to say what their first webkinz pet was gets a piece of food from the w-shop? somthing harmless like that? oh, and why cant i say somthing off topic as long as it still involves webkinz? popy380 :D
I get everything you guys are saying up there in the article, but why can’t we ask members to trade via KinzPost? And one member posted something non-related to Webkinz, why did you let it go through? And why didn’t you post some of my topics that was related to Webkinz World?
they dont want one person to send valuble items to another and then the other person dosent send anything back. ganz just dosent want you to get scammed. just one thing; can i still trade via kinzpost? becouse i’m always careful to not send somthing really valuble. i think of it like this: pretend that they aren’t going to send you anything, like your just giving somone a gift. that way you wont give anyone a gift you want to keep, right?
We strongly encourage Webkinz members to use the Trading Room in the Clubhouse for trading because it’s designed to be a safe way for everyone to trade fairly. Otherwise, popy380 is correct: sending an item via KinzPost is simply a way to send gifts (that is, one-way transactions where you don’t expect an item in return). Because there’s no way to ensure that you’ll receive an item in return, no matter how trustworthy your trader is, Ganz will always encourage you to trade safely in the Trading Room.
A shout out to Ganz: Thanks so much for everything! I love Webkinz so much! Some people where talking badly and when I reported them they still said the same thing. Sometimes I get told on and banned when I did not do anything! Not happy about that.:(
Oh and I suggest that you allow users to ”type” the problem in the clubhouse when they tell on someone. It might take more time but would prevent a lot of confusion.
I…SORT OF agree. Every time I see somone being rude, everyone always yells that they are reporting them. Then the bad person reports the GOOD people. I don’t think you should tell them.
Thanks for telling me Ganz!! So no long posts, a lot of mine get moderated. Mine are about 3-5 sentences sometimes less-more. Um I have a question. Am I banned from regular kinzchat clubhouse if trading room gets stuck loading or something? I just say Hi, how are you, and what have you got to trade. What did I do wrong? :( Please fix this. Without ganzworld trades or sharing I wouldn’t be able to do anything because clubhouse gets stuck on my like 95% of the time. Not to be rude at all. Please look into this. :)-Atom
I agree that most of the rules posted make sense but some are a bit vague. Example “Engaging in actions that could affect other member’s enjoyment” or “discussing other topics deemed unsuitable.” It’s kind of hard to know 100%.
Yes, these phrases leave a lot of room for interpretation. But that’s kind of the point–there is no way to write a policy that includes every conceivable situation. So use your discretion; think about what you are doing, re-read your posts before you hit that “submit” button. And if there is even a slight chance that your comment or actions could be harmful, disrespectful, or inappropriate, then just don’t do it. When in doubt, leave it out.
Thank you Ganz..for keeping Webkinz Newz a safe site.
Thank you, Ganz! That is a great way to keep the site safe. I get on every day and am glad that it is a mostly fun and safe place.
I agree thank you so much for showing us them too.
