With the latest release of the Chrome web browser, plugins such as Unity3D (which MAZIN’ Hamsters uses) have been disabled by default.
No worries! It’s simple to re-enable Unity3D support. Just follow these steps within the Chrome browser:
- Open your Chrome web browser.
- Enter the following URL: chrome://flags/#enable-npapi
- Click “enable” on the Enable NPAPI Mac, Windows option.
- Restart the browser.
- Go play!
***UPDATE***
If you are not seeing the “enable NPAPI” option at the above URL, you may need to install Microsoft Silverlight on your computer (note: Silverlight does not work in Chrome for Mac, it ONLY works in Chrome for Windows)
- If you don’t already have Silverlight installed, please install it:
Follow this link https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkID=149156- On Windows, this will download Silverlight.exe (or Silverlight_x64.exe).
- After download completes, please click the file to run it and complete installation.
- Close your Chrome browser, re-open it and try the “enable NPAPI” steps listed in the original post above.
Ganz, please read this. I tried playing Mazin’ Hamsters, hoping it would work. Alast, it needs us to all have Unity 2, which we can no longer get, for Unity does not let users download it anymore, and we all have Unity 3 or higher. Since Mazin’ hamsters was made in Unity 2, you need to upadte it to either Unity 3 or 4. Please fix this, thank you! -Kylie

1 st i uninstalled shockwave flash player some what better but still freezing up, so then i did just what it says to do here for chrome and everything seems to work faster. now to try on webkinz
I like to use Chrome, but even playing regular Webkinz is nearly impossible. It is really slow and I can’t play certain games or do my dailies. Frustrating.
I copied and pasted the above and manually searched the page for the wording “Enable NPAPI Mac, Windows” and did not see it as an available option. Is this only present if I cannot log into Amazing World, or has it been disabled ?
I do Google chrome. Well, I can’t even play main hamsters, however I never played it. I see some people play it on kinztube, and it looks very fun.
I don’t play Mazin’ Hamsters, but I might want to someday, so I want to ask exactly what thing on that page we are supposed to enable. It just says there are a bunch of “experiments” on there that may make your browser delete your data if you enable them, and none of them mentions Unity3D or NPAPI that I can see. I don’t want to touch anything without knowing what it is.

Well now maybe I can play Amazing World AND my Webkinz Hamsters! I’ve been trying to get in for months! Of course I missed out on the adorable Valentine Zing, and all the fun Easter activities :/ but thank you for the information!!
