Once again, your submissions to our Pet Buddy Design Contest blew us away! There were over 700 fantastic entries and it was so hard to narrow it down to just 10 finalists – so we didn’t! We actually ended up with 12 finalists, of which we are planning to make three Pet Buddies.

We tried to select finalists based on the originality, creativity and how well it fits into Webkinz World. Our artists will be taking three of these ideas and bringing them to life. The grand prize winners will receive a Pet Design Trophy, all three of the winning Pet Buddies, plus 3 months of Deluxe Membership. And all of the finalists will each receive a Spring Super Mystery Bag – courtesy of Ganz eStore!
While the final decision is up to the Creative Team at Ganz, we want to hear what YOU think of the finalists. Please check out the list and then take a moment to vote for your favorite by clicking the button at the bottom of the list.

Love every single one of these!
KristaKofoed, simple star, yet lovely! Make them different colours, like blue, pink, lavendar and rainbow and sell them separately. Call them Twinkle, Twirl, Sparkle and Shine. Just a thought. Sometimes less is more.
They could also make it animated to where it flows between colors over and over.

Once again, not a finalist. *sigh* guess no one likes cats with wings.
I bought the Fairykinz Tiger cub AND the blue winged tiger. Would’ve bought the Golden one, too, but I didn’t want to spend so much money on eStore points. People, here, definitely like cats with wings. It was all about what Ganz could technically do with the over 700 submissions. If you look, some of the concepts are rough, it’s the idea they wanted. They’ll still do their own art work for the finished design. Keep submitting your winged cats for the contests like this because you never know when one of your designs is chosen.

They are all sooooo cute! How to choose?? Congratulations to all the finalists.
Um…Those are interesting. I like the balloon dog (it would be funny if the tail was spinning to make it fly) and the woodland spirit one I guess. Other whys the other ones don’t really make sense, I thought all pet buddies fly? how are they going to make it NOT fly? The gingerbread man, snowman, eggy, raccoon buddy and the mouse, how are they going to make them fly? I’m just curious cause I’ve never seen a pet buddy who didn’t fly.
The ghost hovers … why wouldn’t the Gingerbread man hover like ‘visions of sugarplums danced in their heads’ kind of thing? That’s not far fetched. Eggy could bounce and twirl, so MANY designs to incorporate on a single surface; easily expandable to include Easter and Christmas design. Raccoon is Easy-Peasy! Twisty tail like a propeller! Snowman … well Olaf is a Great example have it dis-assemble/re-assemble. And the mouse? If they can keep it low to the ground it can scoot and scurry, dart and zip back and forth to the parent-pet.
They don’t have to physically flap wings and fly, they can just sort of hover over your pet’s shoulder–like Spooky or Gizmo in Webkinz World. :)
They can just float, like Isla the panda or Gizmo the robot.
