Oh wow! I am so glad to be home! The Big City is really cool, but I couldn’t wait to see my mom and dad and all my friends, and even Millie! Polly and I had a great time. The first night was kind of rough because I guess I felt a bit homesick, but after that I managed to really enjoy myself. I tried some new foods that I had never tried before and we went shopping in these fancy shops (it was fun to look but I couldn’t actually afford to buy anything!) On our last night there, Polly’s parents surprised us all with tickets to a live show of Monkey & Monkey! It was so exciting seeing them in real life! The theatre was packed but we had really good tickets, just a few rows from the front.
I was really happy to get back though and see my mom and dad, but the best part was that just after I got home, the doorbell rang and when I answered it Cowabelle and Roberta were standing there. They said that they wanted to apologize for the way they had acted last week. Apparently they had been jealous that I was going to the Big City! I’m so glad that’s what it was – I was really worried I had done something to upset them!
I invited them inside for a soda and then they said they wanted to hear all about my trip. I had a great Spring Break, but there is nothing like being back in Kinzville!
p.s i’m glad you took Cowabelle and Roberta out for sodas and to talk
THAT SOUNDED AMAZING! and I’m gad that you had a fun time and being homesick is part of growing up as a matter of fact i get homesick my self sometimes. so you aren’t the only one who gets homesick
