More Trick Or Treat Street Concept Drawings!

I wanted to thank everyone who left us feedback for the first set of Trick or Treat Street concept drawings. I read over each comment and was really impressed with your suggestions. There was a lot of focus on the Halloween homes, in particular, the colors and look & feel of each home. I really like how the concept drawing for the costume shop turned out (you’ll see it in this post). I think that we will model the homes to match the look and feel of the shop, but still keep the bright colors that were used for each one. This way, they will look less “haunted” but remain colorful and feel as though they belong in a charming neighborhood. In any case, I really like the suggestion of triggering a doorbell sound effect and having your pet say “Trick or treat!” when you click on each home.

Now, I’d like to share the concept drawings for the second half of the Trick or Treat room theme. Please leave your feedback in the comments section below. Tell us what you like or don’t like about each item or how you would make them better. Just like before, we will be reading each comment carefully and take all your suggestions into consideration:

Here’s another look at the bench that will be including in the theme. Don’t worry, “Halloween” will be spelled correctly on the final item:

Here is the costume shop I was referring to earlier. The shop will be 3 tiles in length, so there won’t be any gaps along your yard if you decide to add a door to the room:

The idea behind this tree is that it will change slightly when you rotate it. 3 of the rotations will feature unique Halloween decorations and the last one will simply be a plain, fall colored tree that could be used for any type of room design:

I really like how this white picket fence turned out. The expressions on each of the jack-o’-lanterns faces are priceless:

Finally, here’s a look at the novelty gravestone that you’ll be able to use to decorate your front lawns. Similar to the tree, this item will also change slightly when rotated in room:

How do you think this theme is coming along? Let us know in the comment section below and stay tuned for your first look at the final items that will be modeled in 3D. I plan on showing the first half on Saturday, August 31st…

This new theme is so awesome. Having been waiting along time for a Halloween village theme. Thanks so much!

can you make scary shadowy floor tiles (Like the colors you are using in your concept) that are similar to the other outdoor Halloween theme? I love the shadows coming off of the fence and tombstone, it really adds to how spooky it will look.

I like how the costume shop turned out. Is the fence a wall decor or can it be placed anywhere in the room? There are lots of trees that are fall themed so why can’t the tree have four Halloween rotations? The gravestone could have four different rotations, one being the ghost, then a skeleton, then a zombie & the fourth could be a hole with a dog/werewolf looking in with its tail wagging back and forth. A radio that plays different halloween songs would be cool. Pittiesrule

Some ideas would be a jack-o-lantern that changes face when rotated, a pumpkin pile that changes when rotated, a low fence that is decorated or can be decorated using other items of the theme, an interactive scarecrow, maybe a one square floor tile that can go on top of other floor tiles of candy wrappers that changes when rotated, a fog machine that stays on, skeletons, ghosts & zombies that change to a different webkinz when rotated, a black cat that changes pose when rotated, decorative/fridge trick or treat bags & decorative/dispenser candy bowls that change when rotated & a tree that changes decorations when rotated. The tree decorations could be crows, then a witch crashing into the tree, then bats, then spiders. I also hope that the houses are 1×2 as they fit better. It would be nice if the houses would look different & have different decorations, one house be crazy decorated like they’re having a Halloween party & the other ones more normal decorated. I have been eagerly awaiting these, and love them all. That tree is beautiful. I hope one of the rotations is completely different, an almost dead tree with crows, as suggested by someone in awhile back. If it can’t be rotated like that, please make an extra tree w/crows, or maybe a few crows on the tombstone, fence, instead of ghost, pumpkins respectively. The only thing I see missing, that is completely necessary, are candy bowls, wayward pieces of candy. I LOVE THIS THEME!

I have to add a few more things. That fence, with the big pumpkins and string of little pumpkin lights is spectacular. I also adore the tree being in a brick planter. Like I said earlier, I hope to see crows, and believe they could easily be put on top of the gravestone, or even replace a pumpkin or too on top of the fence. A black cat on fence posts, or along bottom, of tree would work nicely too. The detailing of the spiders/webs in tree is so cute. Not musty looking, but incredibly festive, like I would expect to see in a neighborhood. That, and tee-peed trees kids play as a ‘trick’ for homes not giving out treats. Another rotation to consider?

Hi ~larzy! I like a lot of your ideas. It seems like you are counting on crows, and hopefully they will turn up in one of the rotations. I’m conflicted about the TP on the tree. In my neighborhood one year, a little old lady ran out of candy a little early and turned her light off. The next morning she walked out her front door to a huge mess. The older kids had TPed her tree, and did a lot of other not so nice things. With her oxygen tank beside her, she stood there looking shocked and bewildered. My family and I went over with a bucket and sponge and a broom and a pole and got to work. We cleaned everything up, she was so grateful, and we made a memorable holiday moment. Pranks are the most fun when EVERYONE thinks that they are funny.
