Due to ongoing technical issues with Webkinz Party Packs, that often cause them not to start, they will be retired from the W Shop at midnight, August 25th. Any Party Packs that you currently own will remain in your Dock and can still be used, however we cannot guarantee that they will work properly, due to these ongoing issues.
Even though this feature is being removed, the party continues in Webkinz World! You can always meet up with your friends at the Kinzville Park and at the Webkinz Clubhouse, and it’s always fun to challenge your friends to games at the Tournament Arena. You’ll also notice that some of the loot bag prizes will be appearing on Webkinz prize wheels in the future.
Don’t forget to keep the party going by downloading the Webkinz Desktop Application, so you can enjoy Webkinz for years to come!

I haven’t been able to host or attend a party successfully since coming back to Webkinz, but I remember them from before and my favorite prize was the face paint, and my lil persian kitty wears it to this day.

Oh come on. Really, Ganz?? I don’t mean to sound insensitive since I know it’s been difficult fixing things during the pandemic and all, but why can’t these things just be FIXED instead of retired??! Are they really too impossible to fix that they have to go? Might as well retire or delete every broken item in WW with that logic.
I was just saying a couple of days ago to someone, how Ganz hardly ever fixes things or tries to really make improvements to the game functionality. They add lots of new items and such, mostly for making money, new estore new pets etc…. but never improvements of all the outdated broken functionality of the game. It’s a real shame that they have not made a focus on that aspect to really keep the game working and running smoothly all these years. I will definitely miss the party packs and it’s a real shame they never made a go at fixing them. :(
Keep in mind, with the change in platform, some of the older items just no longer have the support that they need. Perhaps down the road they can manage a new format to make them work better, but in the mean time they have enough on their plate to work on. For the time being, it is just best to put this aside and concentrate on what they can right now. Having family and friends that work on programming, I understand what a HUGE undertaking all of this is. I’m proud of how they have stayed ahead of the curve enough so that there has not been a huge interruption in the game itself.
IKR? Too often it seems that once items start glitching, they more often than not get removed instead of fixed. I am still holding onto hope that the gift boxes for completing level 10 classes will be fixed and I can actually receive the prizes I earned. It took years of effort to complete those classes and I now have several in my dock.

Met so many great friends and made many great memories visiting homes for parties. Will really miss preparing my home for guests. Hoping the new non-Flash Webkinz provides opportunities for home visits! That truly defined the Webkinz experience for me.
Thank you so much for the report Ella. I am sad that this feature will be retiring, but I do understand. I never had the opportunity to attend many WW parties as they would seldom load for me. (“folding the laundry”, etc.) The last party that I tried to attend made things disappear from my room, and I saw lots of similar comments here on WKN, so I stopped trying to go to parties. For those friends who had invited me, and wondered why I never made it to your party, those are the reasons. I don’t know anything about the tech side of things, but Ella, I was wondering if anyone there is working on a way that we can visit one another in our WW homes sometime in the future? Thanks for keeping us in the loop. I look forward to your next report!
Aww, please don’t get rid of them. sure they might of been a bit glitchy at times but it was still fun to go to parties. I love to see my fellow webkinz freinds rooms and doing the fun games with them. At least maybe see if you can bring visit my friends house back please:)
I hope that the prizes that are retired will be available, too, as I have never had much luck doing the packs. Pittiesrule
I will get more prizes this way than from the parties that I could never get into!
This would be cool for the party loot prizes to be on the wheels, I will looking forward to this.
