Party Packs Retiring August 25th

Due to ongoing technical issues with Webkinz Party Packs, that often cause them not to start, they will be retired from the W Shop at midnight, August 25th. Any Party Packs that you currently own will remain in your Dock and can still be used, however we cannot guarantee that they will work properly, due to these ongoing issues.

Even though this feature is being removed, the party continues in Webkinz World! You can always meet up with your friends at the Kinzville Park and at the Webkinz Clubhouse, and it’s always fun to challenge your friends to games at the Tournament Arena. You’ll also notice that some of the loot bag prizes will be appearing on Webkinz prize wheels in the future.

Don’t forget to keep the party going by downloading the Webkinz Desktop Application, so you can enjoy Webkinz for years to come!

This has been Ella McWoof, reporting for Webkinz Newz.

The party food dispensers in all the party packs have not worked for years and I have never been able to collect the foods. Can there please be a way to make these available? Maybe award the dispensers as challenge prizes or create a clubhouse room that features the food dispensers? I was glad to read that the loot bag prizes will show up as wheel prizes. I might buy some party packs just for posterity.

That makes sense. I bought a hole bunch of them onece, and they all didn’t start. It wil be sad seeing them go but, then we dont wast our money on something that donesn’t work. Thanks for telling us Ella McWoof.

Oh Ella, that’s too bad. All this time, looking forward to them working again. I love kkovacs’ idea. Make a designated Party room in the Clubhouse featuring the old Party Pack themes. You could change the party theme with the seasons (there are even 12 of them, one for each month, it’s so simple), & give one party treat per day for visiting. I’m going to buy one of each of the old Packs now for dock candy. So many pieces of Webkinz have disappeared, now parties too. I’ll miss them. How about fixing the visit your friends’ house feature now?

Sorry, this is unrelated but I have no idea where else to post it. My wacky marshmallow plant looks sooooo ready to harvest but every time I click on it I get a “Sorry, that crop isn’t ready to be harvested.” message. Is this happening to anyone else? I don’t remember which day I planted the seeds, and I have no idea how long they take to ripen. I would appreciate any insight. Thanks!

Beckinz8, I know just what you mean! My wacky marshmallows were finally ready to harvest yesterday, and they were twice as big as the days I tried to harvest them when they looked ready, so just wait a little longer. Enjoy! : )

I spoke too soon! They were finally ready today. What big, fluffy funny little marshmallow buddies! Too cute to eat! My pets will have to close their eyes. LOL!!

I’m not surprised to see this feature being removed. I’ve not had 1 party work for me or been able to get into any party save one a LONG time ago.

Wait, all the party packs are retiring??!! That makes me so sad! I really enjoyed hosting/going to parties with my friends. I know that they haven’t really been working very well lately too. I hosted a couple parties not too long ago, but it would only let my guests go to them and not me, the host. The house parties were ones that i really enjoyed, but they stopped working a long time ago. I was hoping that they would all get fixed and not retired. Is there no way that you could fix them?

  7. kkovacs says:

How about making a party themed clubhouse room that features the games and prizes that party packs have?

  8. Chocodile601 says:

Glad the prizes will still be around!

just another thing we need to let go of (wacky log-out and many other things) … but progress often requires compromise — take this digital takeover of information, for example (not webkinz, i refer to the media). no one care anyone what the real truth of anything is just what is THEIR version!! best all, k.

It is so sad that you were unable to fix them. I have a lot of wonderful memories from when they did work.
