It’s time! We took your comments and votes into account and discussed all the fabulous finalists in our Pet Buddy Design Contest before selecting our three winners. The three winners will each be made into an actual Pet Buddy in Webkinz World, which will be available in Ganz eStore.
And here are our three winners. Good job!
1. The Balloon Dog was very popular with our players and we thought it was a clever and creative suggestion for a Pet Buddy that literally floats next to your pet! What could be more perfect than a balloon?

Wow, congratulations guys!! I’m bummed that they didn’t choose my gingerbread man, but I’ll definitely be getting all three of these pet buddies when they’re released! They chose excellent winners! :)
Your gingerbread man was adorable. I wish that would’ve placed instead of the octopus so we have a pet buddy for Summer (The balloon dog) Fall (Woodland Spirit) and yours for Christmas. Mmm…Gingerbread cookies.
STILL would like to have had the CYCLOPS SHARK it is real with 1 large TRIANGLE eye in its head it is real sweet . Just 1 ever seen

The octopus? i doubt many voted for it, and how are they gonna make it look like an octopus without changing the drawing a lot? And thats not fair that beardog8910 had TWO finalist entries. Why couldnt they at least add two more grand prize winners, cause, after all, they added two more finalists so had 12 not 10, so they should have 5 grand prize winners.
Hi MakeupGirl2000! It is exactly because we selected two of Beardog8910′s drawing that we included 12 finalists rather than 10. We didn’t want anyone to miss out on a spot in the finalists due to two of Beardog8910′s being selected so to make it fair for everyone, we added not one but two extra spots in the finalists. As for the octopus, we thought it was a fantastic idea by Sunshinegirl1605 and we all agreed that an octopus would be an excellent addition to Webkinz World! We’re confident that our artists will be inspired by the original art to create an adorable pet buddy that fits with Webkinz style and still maintains the spirit of Sunshinegirl1605′s sweet drawing!
I agree Mandy! Everyone should have a fair chance to win. It doesnt matter by artistic talent, rather the concept! Im confident the webkinz artists will do an excellent job creating these buddies! :)
Thanks W5kinz! And you did a fantastic job on your firefly! I truly wish we could have created them all! I always say that by far the hardest part of my job is trying to choose contest winners because we have such a creative and talented community! :)

In the SHIP under water there is a BEAUTIFUL WHITE OCTOPUS !!!! JUST LACY and AWESOME !!
Sorry it is a JELLY FISH I got my underwater pets mixed . BUT IT IS SO LACY and Pretty it is worth a mention !!
MakeupGirl2000, I think it is very adorable, and the octopus is a great idea for a pet.
There is a REAL RED OCTOPUS !! It is called a Vampire small to about 15 inches but very pretty.
One simaler is called Dumbo cause it has bis ears ON EACH SIDE !!
I agree MakeupGirl2000! They would have to do a TON of changes to it, it doesn’t even remotely resemble an octopus, I honestly thought it was the webkinz pink dalmatian dog.
I 100% agree with you MakeupGirl2000, I think they’re going to have to change it completely. I would’ve guess it to be a fish. And yes, there were plenty of other drawings they could’ve chose instead of beardog8910 twice. How is that a chance for everyone when he got it twice? I don’t mean to start a fight or anything, but someone else could’ve had that spot.

Just what we need on webkinz world for an under water pet! Pinky sure looks friendly and a friend to all pets. :) I also loved the firefly by W5kinz, i think there should have been a fourth winner. I was hoping it would have been won of winners cause its so cute and lights up webkinz world. :) You all did such a Wonderful job!!!!
