As Webkinz World has continued to move forward, some features that were not popular had to be left behind. However, some of these features involved items that either no longer have any use, or are too complicated to reproduce in the new system.
As of January 7th, if you have any DiceKinz Dice Packs in your Dock, they will be replaced with a DiceKinz Coin. The new coins can each be sold for 250 KinzCash, or you can send it to a friend, or even trade it in the trading rooms.
Also as of January 7th, the T-Shirt Maker Framed Display will no longer be customized per player. This will be replaced with a new, single version of the T-Shirt Maker Framed Display. However, since this new framed display no longer contains any player-specific information, it can be sold, traded, or sent through KinzPost.
Do you have any of these old items on your Webkinz account? Let us know in the comments below!
I honestly didn’t know what DiceKinz was. I thought it was a game, but I didn’t know where to get it. Can you win it?
No, DiceKinz is a game, and it was available to everyone. Unfortunately, it disappeared a while ago and never came back :( I wish it didn’t retire :(
Yup, carebeargirl716 is right. :( I wish it would come back. I used to play it all the time. Here is a description of what it is that I wrote in the forums a while ago: http://webkinznewz.ganzworld.com/forums/topic/places-in-webkinz-world-2/page/3/
i like the T shirt display.
I wish you could just bring DiceKinz back :( It was a favorite game of mine because it took strategy and collecting. It was challenging, like Operation Gumball is. The kinzcash payout wasn’t great, but it was one of the few games I would play with the sound turned on ;) RRRROOOLLLLLLL! *JOSTLE* I don’t even know how long it has been retired, but I miss it so much. I’m not a programmer, so I don’t have any understand the concept, but would it REALLY be that complicated to reproduce in a new system? Also, the dice packs are being replaced with just a coin? That’s a shame too — the trophy given out when DiceKinz was retired was actually a nice prize that my pets could display in their room :( (Any chance that a DK app might be developed for smartphones? Or in the ganzworld arcade? I’d play the heck out of it!)
I agree, and I also have the trophy. why is it retiring?!?!?!? :( :( :(
Because it is no longer bringing in enough money to suit the company. They’ll fill the space with something they think is a better risk.
What if, instead of putting it in its own special area, we just move it to the Tournament Arena? I think a lot more people would play it if it were available with other multiplayer games.
YES!!!!! That’s an AWESOME idea Fracktail!!! But after all this, I doubt ganz will make that switch. :”( Please consider it at least, ganz… :)
what’s dicekinz?
I can’t really explain it, but it was a game.
Hi connie29, if I explain, it’s take a long time, but here is a link to a page in the forums here where I explained to another wondering player. :) http://webkinznewz.ganzworld.com/forums/topic/places-in-webkinz-world-2/page/3/ I was answering to Fluttershy736. Just look for the enormous comment, lol! ;)
So sad reading about these people losing their prized collections. I’m now really glad I never invested in either of these things. Does this mean that Ganz may decide to remove other items that we’ve bought in the future? This will affect the spending decisions of many.
I MISS DICEKINZ!
What if I want to keep my petpacks? I really want to keep mine even though the game no longer is available. I have the cheeky dog and cat and a few others I really want.
I have some dicekinz packs
so u know…..Thats cool
Dicekinz I play it when its on the Today`s activities page every so often
DiceKinz is one of the things that nobody really played, but everyone says that they miss it anyways. At least for me, anyways. Whenever I see DiceKinz in Today’s Activities, I always make sure to play it for nostalgia, but I never really played it that much when it was active. That’s why I like how it’s only available in Today’s Activities; too much of a good thing gets boring, but every once in a while DiceKinz is a fun treat!
I played at least one game on about 50% of my logins… but I’m an oddball :)
Hey, to each their own. Now that I think about it, I only ever played DiceKinz by myself when it was still active. I think if I had more friends to play it with I would have enjoyed it more. Or maybe not. I dunno. :P
