Hello Webkinz, Might I make a suggestion to help us with the Community Challenges? I know we normally hit the targets, but it would prevent me/others from selling our extra farm fresh food back to the WShop. We got the notification only a day or two before the challenge started. Unfortunately, the night before notification I sold over 50 carrots to the WShop. Is there any way you could give us a ‘warning’ at least three days before the challenge starts so we can save the food needed for the challenge? Doesn’t have to be big…just let us know a week ahead that a challenge is coming up and our pets will be wanting to eat carrots/cabbage/whatever. I will have 60 carrots tomorrow, so I am not that worried. However, I would have loved to feed over 100 carrots to my 57 critters in furtherance of the Challenge.
Love all the prizes, but I already have the toque and the flooring :( I guess I’ll at least have extras!

I’m sure any carrot would work since the farm fresh ones can be used in a recipe just like the kind you buy in the wshop.
Let’s all be more positive, I’m sure our farm fresh carrots will count. If you already have one of the items, store it for a year or two and then trade it to a new-comer or someone who has been away for a while. It’s a win-win. They will LOVE it and you may end up with something you are delighted with. Trust me, today’s disappointment can turn in tomorrow’s gold dust. This is supposed to be a Community Challenge. You have to remove a lot of letters from ”community challenge” to be left with ”me”. Let’s try to keep the ethos of Webkinz alive. Oh, look, there is no ”me” in webkinz, thankfully.
Your post reminds me of another one (can’t remember who posted it) where the person suggested making a “mall” of sorts to store unneeded items, etc. This would fit right in with that. Plus, you never know when you might need multiples in the future.
You are so right maidoforleans! As for Farm Fresh Carrots, I’m sure Sally Webkinz will let us know when she gets to work tomorrow. And, normally Webkinz has the Deluxe game as the Game of the Day when there is a Community Challenge. There have been multiple times I was away from Webkinz for extended periods of time, so it’s wonderful to get the items I missed before. And, yes, I do have an overabundance of other items – have no idea what I will do with it, but I am not going to sit here and whine about it. THIS IS A CHILDREN’S SITE – Yet, none of the ‘disappointed’ comments are on behalf of children. So, the children are fine, but the adults are whiny? Personally, I am very disappointed seeing so many adults complaining about the gifts/prizes we receive…if anything, we should be thankful that Webkinz gives us opportunities to obtain free items. They are FREE- given away by Webkinz as a thank you for our continued patronage – and keep us interested in the site!!! Finally, please remember that most times you can either trade the free/giveaway items, give them as gifts to others or sell them back to the WShop.

I save extras for that same reason. I generally give them away since I have also had wonderful people of this community help me out with collections. I feel good about trading extras for food when it’s stuff like this.

It’s usually Wshop carrots, but that is a good question. I wonder if farm fresh carrots would still help?

No way they will offer the wallpaper during the deluxe promotion, but I am holding tight to my hopes of sometime after that’s over. In the meantime, I can definitely use more of the flooring!
That would be amazing, but the idea of Ganz offering a Super Deluxe exclusive item to _everybody_ would be a little too good to be true.
Another “awesome” ???, community challenge…with prizes that have already been released, awarded, or given. I already have 3 of the 5 prizes, so it will be nice to get the 2 I don’t have. Why can’t these items be in the WShop for KinzCash? Why can’t we have 5 brand new never-before-released-awarded-or given out prizes? Or…maybe let the prizes be eStore or Rare Winter items? Oh, well…I will do my best to help us win all these challenges. :-) Good Luck to us all! :-)
And…will the Star Drops Arcade Game be available for ALL players, since it’s a Deluxe Only game? I’m Deluxe, but there are many who are not. They deserve a chance to play Star Drops too. Why have a “community” challenge and use a Deluxe Only game? Doesn’t seem fair to ALL in the Webkinz Community. (This is not “real life” here. “Real Life” may never be fair, but in Webkinz World, it should be.
Hopefully they will make it the Game of the Day so everyone can play it.
I’m a non-deluxe player, so I hope they do make it game of the day!! and about the “new” prizes, didn’t they just give us the code for the floor in a podkinz??
They usually do make the challenge games the game of the day.

technically by one being an old winterfest item and the other a cookie item there is rarity to them…. i do agree about it being in the wshop tho
Will the carrot part of the challenge be store bought only or both W shop carrots and farm fresh carrots you can grow in your garden? Looks like awesome prizes. Thank you.
