Nothing makes the team at Webkinz happier than introducing pets, items, and clothing to our game that have been designed by our fans! And to celebrate our 15th anniversary we’re excited to announce a brand new contest, unlike any we’ve done before!
This time, we want our fans to come up with a whole new Room Theme that will be released in the W Shop this summer. One creative designer will be selected to have their idea turned into actual theme in Webkinz World. Now is your chance to submit your very own design for a Room Theme.
IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY.
Here’s how to enter.
Please ONLY submit one entry per Room Theme. Do not submit multiple drawings. There are THREE things you need to include with your entry:
- Theme Name
- 1 drawing of a CHAIR for your room theme
- list of 3 other items that will be a part of the theme
Please include the name and the list in the text field marked ‘Description’ when you upload your image.
The contest runs from April 1 to April 19, 2020. We will announce 10 finalists on April 21 and, after getting feedback from the Webkinz community, we will announce the winning theme on Webkinz Day, April 29, 2020!
As well as having their theme made into a real virtual theme in Webkinz World, the winner will also receive a new fan-designed Cactus Cat from Ganz eStore and an Item Design Trophy. All ten finalists will each receive a 2020 Spring Super Mystery Bag.
A few things to remember…
- You can enter as many different Room Themes as you want, but please remember – only one drawing of a CHAIR per theme!
- Contestants MUST upload their work to the Room Theme Gallery on the GanzWorld Share Center.
- You can use any kind of art supplies that you want. Feel free to use markers, pencil crayons, crayons, or other art materials. Go for it!
- While we will not accept images that have computer generated patterns or graphics copied and added to them, participants may use programs like Paint or Photoshop to color and draw freehand.
- We can’t accept submissions with company logos or sports team emblems. Please make sure you save your images as a jpg, gif, or png.

what happens if you submit it on the last day?will there be extra day to rate the drawings?

You can rate the drawings as long as the theme design gallery exists, and it usually exists for a while after the contest ends. Voting on the pictures doesn’t have any effect on the finalists/winners though :)
I entered my drawings two days ago and they’re still not up. :(
OH NO! I submitted my 3 other items along with the chair…is there still a chance of being a finalist? Should i resubmit my drawings?

OK,OK, I am really mad since I worked really hard on my pictures that I entered all weekend, on Friday, and on Thuresday, and they still aren’t in the gallery!
Please be patient. We don’t review entries over the weekend.

Can I make wallpaper and flooring or is it just chairs and other furniture?
You can only draw one chair. Then you can list names (only) of 3 other items that can be in the theme. They don’t want wallpaper, floors, or even any other furniture.

Wait, but could my “other item” be a flooring/wallpaper? I’ve been only doing furniture as my extra items.
