By adopting the Pink Pony, Spotted Leopard, Mud Hippo, Chimpanzee, Koala or Spotted Frog. If you adopted any of these critters starting on August 3, you’ll get access to quests in the Adventure Park – and a super-fun quest made just for your pet!

No it doesn’t have to have an adventure park tag, it just has to be adopted after Aug 3rd. I adopted a spotted frog that came with the webkinz greatest hits cd and it let me do the quest.
