Hey guys, I’m back with a look at the first half of the Garden Oasis room theme! Mike, one of the Webkinz artists, modelled these items in 3D and they turned out great! I actually interviewed him about the Garden Oasis room theme on Podkinz Episode 101.
This room theme will be released in the W-Shop on July 4th and will be available for KinzCash.
Here’s a look at the garden chair that will be included in this theme. Players picked the Garden Oasis room theme based on the concept drawing for this item:
Players will be able to “open” and “close” the umbrella featured on the garden table by clicking on the table after it’s been added to a room:
These planters turned out really well and were designed to match the other Iron Wood items we released for the Chocolate Egg event:
I really like the colors that were used for the garden bench. The bright pillows will add a burst of color to your pet’s yard:
The color of the Gazebo changed slightly from the original concept drawing. I really like that the pattern on the bed sheets matches the umbrella that’s featured on the garden table:
Finally, here’s a look at the garden archway. The green and yellow colors that were used for this item are beautiful:

I am loving this room theme!!!!
I am a little disappointed about the arch. The concept drawing and the colors were brighter and sharp. This one is dull looking and to dark. I really like the gazebo and the bed with the blanket looks great. The planters I’m not happy with color of flowers. I love the patio table and that it will open and close and they changed the color. I’m not a big fan on the color of the pillows on the chair or bench. Maybe they can make it so we could remove the pillows if we wanted to.
babysss, I feel your disappointment. The archway in the concept drawing is more 3D, with an open spiral of trellis and delicate flowers, vines and little tendrills. Cushions picking up a color of the frame would be prettier. But why have cushions? Scroll work seats like the Victorian Garden theme are lovely. Wooden slats for the bench would coordinate with the planters. However, I know these designs are final and will not be altered. I like the Gazebo and matching bedding; also table and animated revised shape and color umbrella.
This theme is so beautiful! ^-^ My only complaint is that I liked the archway in the concept drawings a lot better, (especially the colors), but aside from that, I love this theme! I can’t wait to get it at the W-Shop and make my own Garden Oasis! ;)
Great job, Mike! Love everything except the garden archway. I really liked the blue and yellow colors instead of green, and it looks more like a horseshoe.
Mila14, my thought exactly about the archway! It looks like a horseshoe with paper flowers and leaves glued on it! I really liked seeing the details of the trellis as the vines wound their way up the archway in the concept drawing. Also, even though the yellow flowers are the same type, those in the concept drawing have more varied shapes. The vines are more distinct and had delicate tendrills hanging from the top or the archway. I admit I don’t know anything about ‘modelling’ 3D computer images, but to me the concept drawing of the archway had a much more 3D effect. I do like the Gazebo and the umbrella table. They will combine well with other garden items I already have.
Horseshoe was my first thought as well. puppies4me, I agree completely with your comments about the concept design and 3D effect.
I SO love this theme, and can’t wait to design a room using them. The items are all so beautiful.

I know, emilyove. The concepts are very beautiful but it must be very difficult to transform a gorgeous sketch into a computer drawn virtual item to use in WW so, let’s just celebrate these very well created items we can use in our game in WW.

I second that motion!! I really liked the concepts of the older Toadstool furniture and thought they were very artistic. Hanging ‘Cel’ sketches are all the rage! I know you’re not ‘celluloid’ but it’s very similar.
Yes, EmeraldCity, that’s a great idea! I think the concept drawing of the archway would make a very pretty wall art item, either framed or a tapestry.
