Sneak Peek: Garden Oasis Room Theme!

Hey guys, I’m back with a look at the first half of the Garden Oasis room theme! Mike, one of the Webkinz artists, modelled these items in 3D and they turned out great! I actually interviewed him about the Garden Oasis room theme on Podkinz Episode 101.

This room theme will be released in the W-Shop on July 4th and will be available for KinzCash.

Here’s a look at the garden chair that will be included in this theme. Players picked the Garden Oasis room theme based on the concept drawing for this item:

Players will be able to “open” and “close” the umbrella featured on the garden table by clicking on the table after it’s been added to a room:

These planters turned out really well and were designed to match the other Iron Wood items we released for the Chocolate Egg event:

I really like the colors that were used for the garden bench. The bright pillows will add a burst of color to your pet’s yard:

The color of the Gazebo changed slightly from the original concept drawing. I really like that the pattern on the bed sheets matches the umbrella that’s featured on the garden table:

Finally, here’s a look at the garden archway. The green and yellow colors that were used for this item are beautiful:

Again ganz… PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make the waterfall item in this theme available to all! I collect Waterfalls and fountains and that garden waterfall would be AMAZING in my collector’s room!

I really like this theme, but i have to say, i dont like the arch. the concept drawing was beautiful, i loved that. but as a 3D item now, it looks flat, compressed, and like plastic fake flowers instead of the fresh, alive look of the concept.

There are several pieces of this theme I’m looking forward to trying, especially the planter barrels. I really like having a variety of big plants to set around. Adding the option to close the table umbrella is a fantastic idea, and I’m glad Mike changed its color to match the purple in other items, like the gazebo bed (that item is gorgeous!). Like a few others have mentioned, I’m not a fan of the final version of the arch, which now looks very flat and plastic to me. Can’t wait to see how the lamppost and brick tiles turn out.

I have to agree with others who have commented on the archway. I preferred the concept where the flowers were twining and you could see more of the open trellis. In general, it’s a lovely theme and I will enjoy using the pieces. I am wondering, will there be a theme retiring to make room for the new one?

Awweee, I wish they added the waterfalls cause they were absolutely a favorite of mine, however, love the theme but hopefully most of it won’t be deluxe. Oh and Mike, awesome job on the designs! you are very talented!

I love the idea, but it seems to me like some items don’t match the others with their coloring and such. However, the bed looks awesome, and I can’t wait for the theme to hit the W-Shop!

still not getting how this theme was chosen when the other two were superior, but i think i will like a few of the items, such as the planters (only item i like among the ones above–because they are soo similar to items i already have). however, it WILL be worth it to get even a “gem” or two from the collection…thanks, k.
