Dear Webkinz Fans,
Two years ago we came up with an idea. An idea to make some big changes to Webkinz.com to prepare it for its second decade of online fun. That idea was affectionately known as Webkinz X. Our goal was to give your pets more life and more importance in your day-to-day Webkinz play, and furthermore, reward you for being a great caregiver to your family of pets.
After two years of hard work by the Webkinz team, including many long nights and weekends, Webkinz X has arrived.
What you will see is just the beginning. Over the next few months we will be dramatically increasing the ways to increase your Family Score, and teach your pets new requests so that you have more ways to care for them. It’s going to be a lot of fun for everyone, whether you’re a collector, a gamer, or just like playing in the room.
This first release of Webkinz X does have some issues. We have not made a release this large since… well since we first launched the game 10 years ago. Included in this release is a completely rewritten My Room. This new Room has built from the ground up to give us the ability to add new, exciting features to the Room, many of which you’ve been asking about for a long time.
As part of this rewrite, all 17,000+ items in Webkinz World had to be reworked for the new Room. While we got most of these items to work, some are not 100% perfect yet. Some items are not animating properly and other are missing their images. We know that these will be of concern to you, so we have a team dedicated to making these items right, and we will be making regular updates (every few days) until every item is done.
Please use the links below to see which items are not working properly. These pages will be kept updated with the latest information, so check them regularly. Additionally, some popular features are currently disabled (Pet Actions) or changed (Gardening) as we continue to make improvements to our new Room. All of these features will be returning to how you know and love them. Thank you for your patience as we make these important and exciting changes to Webkinz World. The future has arrived!

If you cannot log in OR if you are logging in and seeing a frozen screen, please follow these steps:
1) Clear your cache (especially in Chrome). Click here to learn how or on your Chrome browser tab, hit Options>History>Clear History>Clear Cache.
2) Check that your Flash Player is up to date.
3) Re-type your password in the login box to light up the Log In button. Saved passwords won’t light it up until you re-type it.
4) Try a new browser.
5) If you’re still experiencing issues, contact Customer Support at webkinzsupport@ganz.com.
Webkinz X i like Windows 8, a good idea but what a failure! Yuck!
He doesn’t say that about all windows. Just windows 8 and newer.
Genelle, why is my pets’ hunger going down so fast? When I am playing with one of them, their hunger is normal, but after I put them to sleep, the hunger goes down to 0 after a little while and my webkinz frown :(. Is there a way you can fix it?
There goes challenges – it is painfully slow on IE, Chrome and Firefox. The academy keeps freezing. You have to stop and feed the pet every few minutes, so no more selling your gardens for kinzcash. IE fails on jumbleberry fields. Putting items in your room isn’t working – they just keep flashing. Trying to move through your 100 plus room isn’t working because there’s no arrows to scroll – you have to jump down as far as you can see then jump a few, then jump a few more. We could get used to the new look if it worked. Involving the pet more is fine, but overkill big time. Been playing since 2007 and completely annoyed.
Yeah the map thing is incredibly hard to handle, I have a huge map after all these years of collecting room themes. I have to scroll and click on a room I don’t intend to go into quickly before the map moves back to it’s original position again and then slowly work my way up the map that way. The map problem peeves me worse than anything I think because I really travel around between rooms and my house is too big to go by door and some of my doors are blocked by items because I hate the look of a door placement sometimes. Otherwise once they fix the meters and missing/nonworking items, I would say I might like Webkinz X ok. The graphics are slightly more babyish now and seem a little blown out of proportion/less distinct than before due to resizing to fit screens. When it comes to selling a virtual product, image is everything as any online seller can tell you. I wonder if this will affect the estore sales in the long run. The new prizes are fun though, I do like getting those. That was a smart move on their part I think. It made the switch-over less painful knowing there would be rewards.

Hey everyone. I’m very sad to see how everyone has been acting from the very beginning of webkinz X being talked about. I understand for some people this is just not what they wanted. It’s fine to not like something but many people have had bad attitudes. Ganz has been planning this for 2 WHOLE YEARS and the day they FINALLY have it ready all they get is complaints. I have played webkinz for 7 years and have loved it from the start. I’ve had a lot of issues today but hey! That’s normal! It was just released today and they are still working on it! Things will get better! Give it a chance please. If weeks go by and you just don’t want to play anymore then that’s your choice and you can do what you want, however let’s please try to give Ganz some time to show us what webkinz X can really do. At this point it’s not what I hoped for but i’m giving it a chance and I think everyone else should too! :) Thank you for reading, and have a wonderful day.
Thank you for reminding us to be patient. I think we just want to be sure Webkinz is aware of the glitches and we are looking forward to the improvements. Webkinz is my favourite thing to do everyday. I love the game entirely.
I know you said webkinz wouldn’t work as usual… BUT I CANT EVEN SEE MY FULL ROOM! I might sound like a baby, but I’m crying as I’m writing this comment. I want to quit but I love webkinz too much. It’s slower than ever and I… I…. bye.
Can we please go back to the past when the website actually worked? Please.
I cleared cache. The times when I can actually log in my browser immediately crashes. I have never been so disappointed in my LIFE! 11 accounts. Been playing since 2007. What a waste. If you knew it did not work how about you WAIT and fix the problems before launching. Trying to call was worthless as the automatic message said you close at 6:00PM yet were closed before 5PM?!?! OK let me email… oh that’s right it takes over a week to get a response. Does anyone even care?
I haven’t gone on webkinz yet, but I have a HUGE feeling that it isn’t gonna work. As usual…
