Special Report – With Michael Webkinz

Hello Webkinz Newz readers, Michael Webkinz here with a special report!

The Galaxy room theme has been available in the W-Shop for several years, but did you know there are 2 outfits that were recently created to go along with the theme?

The Galaxy Crew Uniform and Galaxy Suit will keep your pets safe as they travel through space!

The Galaxy Crew Uniform was released with our 2nd Kinzville Bake Sale and can be made by combining a Bake Sale Donut, Cake Pop and Bar on a stove. This is the only Bake Sale recipe that we have released that you can use to make a piece of clothing for your pets:

There are 5 pieces of clothing included in the Galaxy Suit and each can be won by playing Alyssa’s Star Challenge in the Magical Forest. If you see a shooting star during your game, click on it for the chance to catch a comet and win 1 of 5 Galaxy Suit pieces:

Looking for inspiration to create your very own space themed room? Click on the video below to watch a Let’s Build video that I created using items from the Galaxy room theme:

This has been Michael Webkinz reporting for Webkinz Newz…

This post is already 2 years old, Tiny Gma :( if you watch it again you’ll see it was made back when we still had the old style buttons and TV sets, before Webkinz X.

I haven’t been able to get photos to the Share center or to Michael but I HAVE been able to send them to MANDY on FB. I will in a couple of days send them to her Ot takes me time to get it right. I have planets and Space Museum includeing ships and a space race room on the moon. The flag on the wall in space rooms YOU can add a banner to it and change the flag But in each room . EVERYTHING can be reached and used you can move all over the place. Maybe if Mandy looks at her FB page she will send them to Michael to look at . I can’t send direct so they won’t be here for all to see. But if Mandy and Michael could look at them that is enough for me . THANKS . I will send Mandy about 8 room designs With Space Monkeys 1 will be Captain Eileen Collins and another TRIFFID as in Day of the Triffid’s sci-fi movie.

Ah…my WW friends brought back so many memories for me! Yes–black and white TV! For me, the space show I couldn’t miss was “Lost in Space’—soooo campy and corny by today’s standards—but back then, I just loved it! And of course: Walter Cronkite! (For our younger WW friends: Walter Cronkite was the ‘Ella McWoof” of television network news in the 1960′s and 1970′s)………And I vividly remember watching the broadcast of the day we landed on the moon. That was spectacular–truly awesome. So Michael, your special report was supposed to be about space clothes for our pets, and you are getting anecdotes about all us older players fond memories! LOL I really enjoyed the Bake Sale! So much fun! I baked up some Galaxy Crew Uniforms, as well as those adorable hotel chairs, and my favorite: the Sweet Sixteen Bookshelf. The Galaxy Suit is adorable, too–I actually managed to collect all the pieces for one full suit, and I don’t even do Alyssa’s Star Challenge that frequently, so I guess I just got lucky. Michael: your Let’s Build Videos are the best. Your space station is great! I would love to see more Let’s Build videos, but I guess we all keep you pretty busy! Thanks for posting such a neat special report.

There is a list with word search on the web. You can see all the movies that came out each year you were young . That way you ca turn back time and watch a GLIMPS of your childhood. Me I watched ARROW, Christmas that Almost WASN’T Day of the Triffids , MANY OLD MOVIES !!

Thanks for the info, tinygma! Your posts are always so helpful! I’m not much of a movie watcher, believe it or not…Occasionally, I do like to watch some of the old tv shows. Mostly, I’m pretty boring–I watch a lot of news. (***sigh***….) Thank goodness for Webkinz. Because when you watch a lot of news, you need A LOT of Webkinz! lol

I like the galaxy suit! I do not do Alyssa’s star challenge much, an when I do, I usually get a shooting star or nothing…. Or a star I already have. XD That’s my luck!

Cool video, Michael! I remember, as a child sitting in my living room watching ‘staticky’ live broadcasts from the ‘high-tech’ Mission Control with updates from Walter Cronkite on our little black and white TV ‘set’ with its rabbit-ear antenna, terrible sound quality and often ‘snowy’ picture. Also with round on/off, channel, and volume control knobs. We didn’t think anything about it when we got up and walked across the living room to turn our TV on and off, change the channels, controlled the volume, and adjusted the rabbit ears. Color screen TVs and then remote control TVs were big technological advancements when they came out “back in the day”! LOL. As I digress, I must mention watching the first broadcast of The Beatles on The Ed Sullivan Shown. So… ahem…. I did design an awesome spaceship years ago. It was fun seeing yours. I look forward to see spaceship designs from other players. BTW, thanks for the memories!

I remember all that same stuff, too! Plus how much I loved “Star Trek” when it came out, even though I didn’t always understand everything because I was young. And the invention of VCRs. No more only being able to see shows at the time they were broadcast….

Today lives are so BLESSED ! To be able to turn back time and see TV that was broadcast earlier ! Most don’t realise how lucky they are. I had black and white tv . When it was bed time you had to go . Lucky again today I watched an old show from tv on UTUBE the other day. I never saw the ends of my fav shows. IF and WHEN I remember the show from back in the late 50′s and on I can see if they have it on UTUBE !! THIS IS AWESOME !! WE HAVE TIME TRAVEL and I can travel to a moment in my childhood ;) !
