Hello Webkinz Newz readers, Michael Webkinz here with a special report…
Dex Dangerous is one of Kinzville’s most famous residents. He is a movie star, action hero, TV personality and most recently, a mayoral candidate. In fact, he has been in the running for mayor of Kinzville twice, first in 2014, then again in 2016.
I wanted to find out what Dex has been up to since the last election, how he dealt with the bitter taste of defeat and if he has any plans on running for mayor again in the future.
MICHAEL WEBKINZ: Dex, thank you for taking the time to sit down with me for an interview. I’m a huge fan.
DEX DANGEROUS: Thank you Michael. I knew you would be excited to meet me.
MICHAEL WEBKINZ: You have been in the running for mayor twice. You first lost to Cowabelle in 2014 and then again to Dr. Quack in 2016. How do you cope with defeat?
DEX DANGEROUS: I think it was harder for my fans to cope with. Running for mayor is like an audition. At the end of the day, I wasn’t the right fit for the part, but there will always be more auditions.
MICHAEL WEBKINZ: So, you will be running again in the 2018 mayoral election?
DEX DANGEROUS: Well, I wouldn’t count it out. I know the citizens of Kinzville want a strong leader, a fearless leader, a handsome leader, so… well… need I say more?
MICHAEL WEBKINZ: How has your career been going since the last election? Are you involved in any interesting film or TV projects?
DEX DANGEROUS: Well, I did book a parade a few months ago…
MICHAEL WEBKINZ: That sounds exciting! How did that go?
DEX DANGEROUS: Cancelled due to rain.
MICHAEL WEBKINZ: Thank you Dex for joining me today. It was a pleasure.
DEX DANGEROUS: No problem Michael. I thought you would get a kick out of it.

This was a really cute interview. Thanks, Michael! If we’re starting to think about the next election, there’s something I would like to see happen: I’d love to have a “live chat” with each of the candidates, to really get to know them better and what they would bring to Kinzville as Mayor. Your and Ella’s interviews are great, but I’d love it if we could have a little more interaction with the candidates. (In ADDITION to your interviews, not to replace them) ;-)

lol!!! So cute!!! Nice job on the interview, Michael; I’m hoping the news team will continue doing these types of in-depth interviews—getting to the heart of what makes our Webkinz hosts and characters ‘tick’: For example: Why is Tabby Von Meow so crabby? She gives me like, 2 seconds to do the Kinzville Mover job, and when I don’t succeed she sneers at me! And Sophie Stockwell–I’d love to know where she gets her endurance: how does she manage to stand ALL the time, and never have foot pain? (come to think of it, I bet she buys her shoes from PJ Collie!) And what’s with Arte’s background?? He’s always wearing that bomber jacket: I’d like the scoop on him. Something tells me he has an interesting past–probably moved to Kinzville and opened that Curio Shop after a long career in the Ganzville military. And finally—if WKN can do an expose on the disappearance of Chef Gazpacho…….Hmmm…very mysterious if you ask me… Did he leave town in disgrace after cooking up a recipe of gak? Did he stomp off in a huff, after his television show was cancelled?!! Webkinz fans need to know!
Dex, Dex, Dex…while you seriously make me laugh, I’m not sure about you as Mayor of Kinzville. We’ll just have to see if you run again…. :-)
Hey Michael, you and the team should do a parade on Webkinz on Saturday and have a Podcast LIVE on Webkinz Newz and post a room featuring all of the Webkinz team, and it’ll be a parade room. It should totally last for at least half an hour(or 2 hours), and you could have someone design a room and send it in to you, and you could decide which one would be best for the clubhouse. You could call it, “Webkinz Clubhouse LIVE!”
That was so fun Michael! LOL! Dex is hilarious. I kinda would like a character like maybe Arte or bring back Jerry the Super Salesman “Webkinz World’s number one salesman” according to the trading cards (ya know the bullfrog guy form the series one cards)…I always pictured him as a very successful multiple car dealership owner in Kinzville, to run for future mayor. :D

Yes, please!!! Always Amanda! Panda Power Forever! At least I’m not the only one! Hopefully the writers will make her sound less condescending, and more like the kind, helpful host I know her to be. (She referred to Dr. Quack as elderly – I knew she didn’t stand a chance in 2016. *sigh*) I’m setting my sights on 2018! Panda for President…er…Mayor!
