Special Report With Sally Webkinz

It’s always around late November that I realize just how little time there is before the holidays start in earnest. And then I begin to panic, because I maybe haven’t spent enough time thinking about what gifts to give to my loved ones!

Now, it’s not that presents are the most important thing, but I do like to show that I care — and being thoughtful doesn’t have to be expensive.  Take my crocheted Wacky — it’s cute, it’s personal and it’s going to be a gift. (Spoilers! Hopefully he’s not reading this article.)

I’m still working on a few other presents, but I thought… what about in Webkinz World? You don’t have to break the bank to think of some fun presents for your friends in Webkinz World. Here are some of the ideas I had:

  1. KinzCash coins. There are so many ways to earn them, and it’s a nice bonus for any shopaholic friend. Alternatively, if you have KinzCash to spare, you can always buy one of the extra expensive W Shop items so your friend can sell it to replenish their KinzCash.
  2. Rare items. You can only get one of these at a time, so if you’re keeping an eye on the Curio Shop (or our Twitter feed — we announce when the rares are on), then you can pick up something totally cool to send your friend.
  3. If you’re a Deluxe member, you might want to send your non-Deluxe friends some of the Deluxe-only W Shop items.
  4. If you’re not sure what someone would like, coupons are always appreciated! While the best is obviously the 90% off coupon, every little bit helps when you’re strapped for KinzCash.
  5. An awesome outfit. Maybe you’ve spent some time putting together a perfect ensemble — you could send all of the pieces to your friend for them to dress their pet in!
  6. Pet specific foods. There’s a lot of food collectors out there, so it’s always nice to share. If you’ve got one of the less common pets, that’s even better!

What do you think? What are your thrifty gift giving ideas for players in Webkinz World?

I always love trading and receiving PSF! It really does make a great gift!

I have lots of pets so I love to send out PSF’s… and I also grow some fun seeds as well as the “normal” farm fresh veggies and fruit trees. I send these items to the hosts all the time and sometimes I get some nice gifts in return.

Holiday items are also great to send to people. For example, sending Christmas items to people around Christmas time or Halloween items around Halloween. I would love to receive old Christmas items or Halloween items from some of the first room themes that were released for those holidays. I’m sure there are even some people who just joined Webkinz who would like to even receive items from the past few years, like the Home for the Holidays theme. So Holiday items are also great gifts.

Hi Sally Webkinz! Awesome post here, that Wacky is such a great gift, they will LOVE it. #3 of your list here is my favorite one that I tend to do the most. I also look for unusual items that I have many multiples of to give. Thanks!

Crochet Wacky is fabulous!!! For online friends, I like to send and receive food items produced by my dispensers. I have quite a few candy trees that make pretty treats!

Who else was surprised this is not about food? :0)

Wow, Sally! Those are all pretty great ideas! One of the things that I like to give are holiday themed dispenser foods. Some people may not own that dispenser, and I figure, it’s the kind of thing that I would like to receive. Sometimes I go make a festive recipe food, or buy inexpensive holiday decor or fashion items (I shop in bulk), and send them off in pretty wrappings with my best wishes for a blessed holiday season. It’s so nice to give and receive gifts at Christmas. :D

Hi Sally, theses are really good suggestions! I like to make & send clothing machine recipe clothes and secret recipe food items to my friends. Also, an already-built building kit is always fun to send. I love your crocheted Wacky!
