Special Report with Sally Webkinz

It’s Sally Webkinz and I’m back with a special report on a topic that is, as you all know, is very near and dear to my heart….. FOOOOOD!

You’d be amazed by how much food I can scarf down, and it can sometimes get a bit expensive to keep my tummy filled. But that’s why I’m here to give you some tips and tricks for the best ways to feed your pets!

Before I get into the many ways you can get FREE FOOD in Webkinz World, I want to spend a quick minute on how you can get some cost-effective food.

  1. Flash Sales. Look on the Today’s Activities page for Flash Sales on ingredient foods — you can get the featured ingredient for 50% off if you head to the W Shop at the right time.
  2. Grow your own food! Sure, there’s an upfront cost in getting the seeds, but after that you can harvest again and again and again! Foods like Cabbage, Pumpkin and Watermelon are more filling, so keep that in mind when stocking your garden.

OK… now on to the free stuff. I love free stuff. Free food is just about the best stuff there is!

  1. Logging in. Yep, you get a free piece of food just for logging in each day. YUM!
  2. Food giveaways on the Today’s Activities page — you can find free snacks and meals at various times of the day, and sometimes you’ll find bonus giveaways of things like Bake Sale goods, or Milk Chocolate Eggs. Deluxe Members should look out for the Wacky Snack Pack, which has a few pieces of food in it!
  3. Spin Wheels! The Wheel of YUM is mostly food, but you’ll often find a food prize on the Wheel of WOW, Wheel of Wishes (Deluxe and otherwise), and the Deluxe Wheel.
  4. Head to the Clubhouse — you can grab something special from Daisy’s Diner, something from Sophie’s featured room and some of the other rooms will have dispensers in them, too! The Airport Room, for example, will give you Gummy Luggage. If you pick up the gift box from Ms. Birdie in the Welcome Room, there’s often a piece of food inside, too.
  5. Play Jumbleberry Fields. You can win Jumbleberries, Sugarberries, Moonberries and Pickleberries for your pet — and often you’ll get even more food when you feed them to your pet. (Or a prize.. if you like that kind of thing!)
  6. If you’ve got a Deluxe Membership, you can head to Vacation Island. Head to the buffet in Coral Cove to get some tasty treats. Sometimes you’ll get a piece of Fool’s Gold Chocolate if you play Don’t Rock the Boat.
  7. Deluxe Members can also visit the Magical Forest — many of the games there will award some food.
  8. Log Out Carnival — if you play the Log Out Carnival, there’s a good chance you’ll get some tasty recipe foods as a prize, which you can feed your pet the next time you log in.
  9. Monthly Meal from Webkinz Newz — if you head to the Events page on Webkinz Newz, you can get a free piece of food every day!

So much food, so little time! What do you think of my list? Did I miss anything? Tell me in the comments below and happy cooking!

Also, your pet fills up faster if he is awake when you feed him. When they are asleep it takes a LOT more food. Dispenser items are cool too, and you can win at least one doing challenges.

I quit feeding my pets. Since the food meter drops down to zero every day, and I fill so many hearts, it got too expensive. I give them all a shower now instead. LOL I am working on my second million on my family score and as soon as I get there won’t do hearts for a while. DF

My food meter drops to zero from full sometimes just for changing a pet’s outfit. And the clothing change was at the pet’s request! What?! Second million Family Score Points? You go girl! >{^;^}< heart059

Hey Sally, Although I am grateful and appreciate all of these options, I find that it takes me at 4-5 pieces of food (depending on the type) to feed each pet. It is very costly on a daily basis. Especially when you feed a lot of pets. What would be nice is when you feed your pet and the level is at 100 that it stays at there. The next day the level seems to drop. And when you plant a garden, how exciting to get to harvest it but disappointing that you only get one piece when it clearly is a tree or a bush and you still have to wait a long time for it to grow. From what I have seen, the flash sales are not 50% off. Half of 5 is not 3. Some foods have lower percentage of power for your pet while others are higher. Thank you.

Me too (for the so much food in webkinz world), and if anyone needs some, I will be glad to send it! And I do love food too (in real life).

Same here … have a pumpkin patch, a watermelon patch, a garden with strawberries / trees / candy / bean stalk / sushi, and a garden with cabbage / corn / carrots / tomatoes. I have enough food for a whole week, and because of the free food I left overs to sell. Pretty sure I’ve made back my initial investment several times over. It is a pain to pick everything each week (having to click ok after each harvested item), and you don’t get multiple items when you harvest corn / strawberries / tomatoes / carrots any more, but it sure beats buying it.

I have a few yards full of watermelon and they definitely keep my pets tummies full!! I’d imagine the watermelon are very healthy for them too!!

On the topic of food, I rarely feed my Dr. Quack smoothies to my pets because the tonic is only occasionally offered, but I tried to feed one to my pet and I was unable to. Every time I tried to drag it in my room or over to my pet, it just stayed in my dock. Is anyone else having this problem? I tried on my laptop and in the app, same result.

    1. Given. 2. Most of that is ingredient food, most of it barely provides any benefits most of the time (I find of the ingredient foods spaghetti and burgers tend to provide the most). 3. This is only a small chance especially given some of those wheels have other prizes. While free, it’s only a chance, a very small one if the food is only one item. 4. Given, although daisy’s diner food was messing up with one of my pets yesterday, had to feed them a recipe first. 5. Given. 6. Given. 7. I’ve played many of the MF games, Woodland Wonders and the Fairy Falls games have been the only ones that really accumulate food, Alyssa’s Star Challenge and Zumwhere foods barely provide any tangible benefit to playing and it’s extremely by chance that you will even get them. 8. Given. 9. I wasn’t aware of this, although it’s a really roundabout way what with it being outside the game.

      3. Really? You’re finding it a small chance? Feels like almost all I ever get off the wheels is food or the lowest possible KC. And in the forest, and log-out, too. Every few weeks I sell all that excess food to the Wshop and make some money.

    • Beckinz8 says:

Hi barkopinko1916. I have been really trying to learn the new point values for foods, as I like to get the most value for my KC. Say your pet’s hunger is at zero, because you decided to try on different outfits. If you feed them a taco, worth 40pts (11 KC), and two plates of eggs 30pts each (6 KC each) then you have filled one pet. Or, you can do two tacos at 40 pts. each, and if you happen to have some fool’s gold laying around from the “Don’t Rock the Boat” game (worth 20pts.), that can work too. The gummy luggage is worth 10pts, and since it is free food, it is always good for making up a hunger deficit. If you have, say, 20 pets, and you feed them tacos instead of burgers, that’s a daily savings of 20 KC. That may not sound like much, but in a year, that saves you 7,300 KC! In a game, it’s not about a balanced diet – it’s all about the math! LOL Thanks for reminding us about all of the opportunities for free or low-cost food Sally Webkinz!!
