Special Report with Sally Webkinz

It’s Sally Webkinz and I’m back with a special report on a topic that is, as you all know, is very near and dear to my heart….. FOOOOOD!

You’d be amazed by how much food I can scarf down, and it can sometimes get a bit expensive to keep my tummy filled. But that’s why I’m here to give you some tips and tricks for the best ways to feed your pets!

Before I get into the many ways you can get FREE FOOD in Webkinz World, I want to spend a quick minute on how you can get some cost-effective food.

  1. Flash Sales. Look on the Today’s Activities page for Flash Sales on ingredient foods — you can get the featured ingredient for 50% off if you head to the W Shop at the right time.
  2. Grow your own food! Sure, there’s an upfront cost in getting the seeds, but after that you can harvest again and again and again! Foods like Cabbage, Pumpkin and Watermelon are more filling, so keep that in mind when stocking your garden.

OK… now on to the free stuff. I love free stuff. Free food is just about the best stuff there is!

  1. Logging in. Yep, you get a free piece of food just for logging in each day. YUM!
  2. Food giveaways on the Today’s Activities page — you can find free snacks and meals at various times of the day, and sometimes you’ll find bonus giveaways of things like Bake Sale goods, or Milk Chocolate Eggs. Deluxe Members should look out for the Wacky Snack Pack, which has a few pieces of food in it!
  3. Spin Wheels! The Wheel of YUM is mostly food, but you’ll often find a food prize on the Wheel of WOW, Wheel of Wishes (Deluxe and otherwise), and the Deluxe Wheel.
  4. Head to the Clubhouse — you can grab something special from Daisy’s Diner, something from Sophie’s featured room and some of the other rooms will have dispensers in them, too! The Airport Room, for example, will give you Gummy Luggage. If you pick up the gift box from Ms. Birdie in the Welcome Room, there’s often a piece of food inside, too.
  5. Play Jumbleberry Fields. You can win Jumbleberries, Sugarberries, Moonberries and Pickleberries for your pet — and often you’ll get even more food when you feed them to your pet. (Or a prize.. if you like that kind of thing!)
  6. If you’ve got a Deluxe Membership, you can head to Vacation Island. Head to the buffet in Coral Cove to get some tasty treats. Sometimes you’ll get a piece of Fool’s Gold Chocolate if you play Don’t Rock the Boat.
  7. Deluxe Members can also visit the Magical Forest — many of the games there will award some food.
  8. Log Out Carnival — if you play the Log Out Carnival, there’s a good chance you’ll get some tasty recipe foods as a prize, which you can feed your pet the next time you log in.
  9. Monthly Meal from Webkinz Newz — if you head to the Events page on Webkinz Newz, you can get a free piece of food every day!

So much food, so little time! What do you think of my list? Did I miss anything? Tell me in the comments below and happy cooking!

I think you’ve got it covered, Sally! Plus there’s Mr Moo in the park, if you can find him. I don’t remember whether he charges kinzcash for his ice cream or not!

Does this mean Dr, Quack’s “grea”t recipes don’t work any more. My pet hasn’t consumed any of the drinks for a couple of weeks. are Dr. Quacks drinks not going to work anymore? Dosappointed in his campaign promise.
Tell me it isn’t so, that we won’t get the good response from the drinks.

While this tonic isn’t particularly special on its own, when used in combination with the farm fresh food grown in your yard, it creates 1 of 3 NEW super foods that will have a miraculous effect on your pets! Each one of these super smoothies will instantly restore your pet’s Happiness, Hunger, and Energy! Are you going to stop supplling the tonic?

    • Sally Webkinz says:

No, the smoothies still work. This post was about free or cheap food :)

      • 1granny says:

They may still work, but the pets on our 35 accounts won’t eat them. They act like they enjoy it but no response on the hunger meter. Will that be fixed soon. Since gardening is so easy and profitable now, the smoothies are so easy to feed. If they would just count on the hunger meter. Thanks Sally

hi 1granny: Great comment. I love making smoothies with Dr. Quacks’s tonic, as well! It really comes in handy after playing a long game; that’s when they seem to get down to 0%—so I’ll give them a smoothie. And you are correct: my pets won’t even take the tonic smoothies lately. It’s as if they don’t recognize it as being consumable. (Typically if a pet has already eaten, the pet will say, “No thanks, I’m full.” or some other comment. But in the last week or two, they don’t even say anything—that’s why it seems as if it’s not being recognized as a food. I suspected this was just a glitch, and would get fixed during one of the maintenances. But as long as 1granny raised the subject, is it possible for Sally Webkinz to pass this info on to the tech team? Tech might not even realize it. So thank you 1granny, for bringing it up!

Hi Sally, I can e-mail webzinzsupport; they’re always very helpful. (I hadn’t done so prior because I figured it was just a glitch that would eventually be fixed.) But another player on this forum is having the same issue as 1granny and me, so I’m wondering if it’s happening to more than just a few of us.

Hi Sally Webkinz, and 1granny, and daulover: I just e-mailed webkinzsupport, to explain issue with the smoothies, and also told them a few of us players were experiencing the same issue. I’m sure they’ll get back to me in a day or two; they’re response time is always great.

I’m not sure about the smoothies; but what animalsmatter1 described for how her pets are reacting to smoothies is exactly what’s happening with the Fish & Chips Dinner on my account.

  3. EmeraldCity says:

Yeah and the FREE birthday pieces of cake for your pet’s b’day, I’ve got a ton of those and the pets love it!!!

  4. rppower says:

I do each of those every day! I LOVE free food!!

Great Special Report, Sally! I’ve been looking for an opportunity to say a big thank you for the Flash Sales. I love them! It’s been a huge help with my food budget. And my Webbies love shopping the W-Shop, so it’s a win-win. Also–I do have a lot of gardens; and recently started two more. Anyone who hasn’t started a Growing Garden really needs to start–it’s a lot of fun, (yes, expensive at first), but totally worth it. The pets love the fresh food. I typically don’t feed my pets Jumbleberry berries. (I’m too obsessed with filling my jars to collect the fantastic Jumbleberry Field prizes! lol) Have a great day, Sally!

    • ImaPepper says:

Yes, it can be costly to start gardening, but I have a couple of tricks: if you play in the Magical Forest, sometimes the prize is a packet of Growing Gardens seeds! Also, if you don’t have the KinzCash or want to invest a lot up front, you can start small. Buy a couple of packets of seed, then harvest and sell them to the W-shop so you can buy more seeds. It takes time to get going, but it’s well worth it. I now have tons of food and plenty of KinzCash from doing this. I also have a few seeds that were prizes from challenges; love those! Will we see more of those any time soon?

  6. Pokemom says:

Sally, that is a one complete and delicious list! Great job!

  7. Davids1lilpixie says:

The best way to feed your pet and not pay the ridiculous prices for the specialized pet food is to grow your own. I have an entire outdoor room devoted to the garden seeds, carrots, corn, cabbages, etc. I’ve had to buy seeds over the years for this challenge or that, usually earth day challenges and have kept them all and let them grow. My outdoor garden room literally has enough room for a flagstone path and a corner for a greenhouse but the rest of the room is full of growing veggies. You grow as much as you can and you won’t have to worry about the specialized pet food. :-)

I have noticed that when I feed my pet and the chart is full it does not take long for the food bar to go down, I feel it goes down too fast.

    • bertnelson says:

I agree with you. Sometime in the past year Webkinz changed things around and the food bar now goes down extremely fast. I am grateful for the free food and my farm, but it does not make up for how quickly the food bar empties.

    • FreeBird says:

this has been going on since before Christmas – I was hoping it was a glitch as you cannot keep up with feeding your pet – as soon as you do (and most foods do not even increase the level high like it used too) it goes down right to zero when you do anything. I am hoping it does not stay this way..

      • Beckinz8 says:

Ah yes…*sigh*…apples used to be worth 32pts on the hunger meter. Now they are down to 12pts. Major dehydration deflation! Sadly, it doesn’t seem to be a glitch.

  9. Bernie3333 says:

Send some of the hosts a letter: Sophie loves to give out berries; Sheldon might give you some W-shop food; Mr. Moo sometimes delivers a Goo Goo Berry Float; Fiona has some Care Cake; and Daisy Doe might sneak in some health food to keep you feeling, you know, healthy after all the junk (but yummy) foods you’ve eaten. And, like Sally said, you may even get a prize from any of the hosts you’ve friended… if you like that kind of thing (hello!).

  10. anon55 says:

Grow your own food…some of which makes their hunger increase, while a donut fills them up. Bad message.
