Hi everyone, Steve Webkinz here. In today’s special report, let’s take a look at some of the recent changes to Webkinz Newz.
WebkinzNewz.com began as an official information site for Webkinz.com. When Ganz Studios began developing new games outside of Webkinz, there was an effort to create a single portal which tied all of these various properties together. For this purpose, Webkinz Newz then became part of the much larger Ganzworld.com site. Features like an arcade with its own reward currency and prizes were created to add incentive for exploring all around the GanzWorld portal.

As the other Ganz games ran their course and closed down, we’ve returned back to where we started, —with GanzWorld only featuring Webkinz Newz. On the back end, there has also been an ongoing process of moving everything away from unreliable data centers (which led to repeated site down time) and into a much more stable cloud environment.
To make the site run more efficiently in this new environment, not only was it streamlined down to only include Webkinz related news and information, but other features like the GanzWorld Arcade were also removed. However, the “Moneyz” currency earned on Webkinz Newz accounts can still be redeemed for prizes and sent back to Webkinz accounts.

SO are the MONEZ and REWARDS going to continue OR END ? I want as many AW CHESTS as I can get I LOVE the small size and being able to save lots of clothing in them. I easile could add 600 to 1000 and still need more. I like being able to walk my clothing rooms check each cheast and still be able to see myself walking around these chests because they are not HIGH tall chests to block seeing my pet move.
I think the only other one that works this well is the 95 KC blue chest, but it only holds 6 items. But you are right, TinyGma. This is the only one that really holds a lot of your nicer items without making it difficult to find your pet in an overcrowded closet LOL besides, it’s really cute and not expensive.

Does this mean GanzWorld Rewards and Moneyz AREN’T going away?!?
I am a deluxe member and recently turned on ads so I could watch an advertisement and get a prize and help you guys out. But today, I started getting advertisements when switching between rooms. Please stop.
Those unfortunately can’t be avoided if you leave your ads on. It’s programmed that way. If you don’t want the ads between rooms, use an ad blocking program when you’re in your room. Turn it off when not spending a lot of time in your rooms.
so are yall not getting rid of the moneyz now? i’m so glad you listened to us when we were upset that you had you wanted to get rid of it!
Hey Steve! Thanks for the article. :) I didn’t visit Webkinz Newz back when it first started, just on and off once the current layout was created, so it’s nice to see what it looked like originally! I have a question about the Moneyz and redeemable prizes. I saw somewhere they were being retired. When will that happen? I want to make sure I choose all the prizes I want before it does! Hi Steve Webkinz! Thanks for the in-depth look at Webkinz Newz. You guys do a great job of keeping us all informed, and I really appreciate it. When I first started to play in WW, I hadn’t yet discovered Webkinz Newz, and I played in ignorance for over a year, missing out on a lot of events. I don’t know how I actually first wandered over here, but I am so glad that I finally saw the light! Regularly reading Webkinz Newz has really helped me to have a much fuller gaming experience. I participate in challenges and contests (and have even won!) all thanks to the great efforts of the Webkinz Newz team keeping things fresh, exciting, and running smoothly, and keeping us all up-to-date. I hope that as WW continues to evolve and grow, Webkinz Newz will always be there to lead the way!
Will there be any new clothing in the kinzstyle outlet? I love clothing so much in the game and in person! I would literally love ya guys forever if there’s new clothing! Btw already luv ya guys forever lolol
They just added the Spring line of clothing. Summer is just around the corner, so I would say they add every 3 months or so.
So, are you still getting rid of the moneyz feature?
