I love these challenges so much! But I don’t really understand how to do them. What do you mean when it says, put a party time chair in you’re pets room in your pets room 5,000 times. That seems possibe. What do you mean when you say that? I can’t play Pet Parade 15,000 times, it seems in possible, can someone please reply and tell me what these mean when you say play Pet Parade like 15,000 what does it mean when say that?

Oh, unikitty11, that doesn’t mean play Pet Parade 15,000 times! That depends on how many people play it! They count when all the players play! That doesn’t mean you have to play it that much times

The plush is so cute! Hope we get it

i don’t have webkinz next downloaded to my computers…..I am not sure how to do it.

Not a fan of a cross over with webkinz next. I have no interest in ever playing that version. I feel like there is a big push to switching people over to that instead of classic.

    • rybekah says:

I agree. I’m a classic player and I dislike the constant pushing and in your face for new. I prefer classic for many reasons and wish they’d just separate them

Love that this challenge includes both classic and next. I still love playing both, but I really enjoy the new Webkinz and all the freedom decorating rooms and going to look at other player houses for inspiration. Thanks Ganz :)

A Community Challenge with Webkinz Next? That will be hard for me, as I don’t play Webkinz Next. Don’t even have it downloaded on my computer. I do have it on my android phone, but it’s hard to play as it is too small see and move around. I’ve only been on it about 3 or 4 times since Webkinz Next came out. To be honest, I’m not crazy about having Webkinz Next in the challenge, or their Host, on Webkinz Classic. Sorry if my opinion offends, but it’s how I feel. :-(

    • jsforfr says:

      I feel the same way.

I agree! Especially since they kept saying the games were completely separate. Check all the old comments in the beginning stating don’t worry about it. They are separate games. Looks like someone changed their minds. Good luck everyone!

        • alucard says:

Well, I’m worried about it for sure. There are still glitches happening on the Webkinz Classic Desk Top game. Many items still don’t work (even after many years of being “broken”). Some of our wonderful suggestions of “improving” Webkinz (this was before we had ever heard of Webkinz Next), were used for Webkinz Next and not Classic Webkinz. That didn’t seem right, in my opinion. I guess we won’t be separate games for long. Sadly. :-(

          • Sally Webkinz says:

The games remain separate, but they are both Webkinz. You can’t move your item from Webkinz Classic to Next or vice versa, so even if some of the items are the same or things are similar, they are still separate. Webkinz Classic’s codebase simply would not support most of those kinds of changes. A lot of items had their functionality changed the last time we updated the codebase — more things are at risk of breaking if we change too much. Flash is a dead language, unfortunately. We have a lot more freedom with Webkinz Next, so of course we’ll be encouraging people to try it out, but we haven’t slowed down on Classic one bit. We support and provide content for all flavors of Webkinz because we are a single Webkinz community.

          • rybekah says:

Why not “fix” classic and expand upon it rather than pushing things people don’t like or want :/ I think attempting 3D models was good in theory but personally I love the cute, simple, 2D of classic. Classic forever bb

          • Sally Webkinz says:

Classic cannot be “fixed” without completely re-writing the 17+ years worth of code. We love Classic, for sure. I mean, how many other popular Flash games are around? Other sites launched new games and removed the old versions entirely.

          • Tommythepanda says:

It would be nice if the developers could update the Classic codebase away from Flash bit by bit. Maybe by creating “containers” in the Flash code to hold newer types of code. If this were possible, at least portions of WWClassic (the Arcade, Quizzy’s, Today Activities, Kinzville Times, etc.) could exist in the newer code. Over enough time, once enough of the content was recoded, the codebase itself could be updated. “Before long”, there would be no Flash left. Of course, this method would probably be even more challenging in the “My House” area. I realize this is probably just a dream, but we can all hope, right?

Ooh this looks like so much fun! Just a tip for everyone, I know buying food for your Webkinz can become extremely costly, so I have a suggestion for you. Grow your own food! you can buy seeds at the w-shop, plant them in underwater or outside rooms. It will save you a lot of money in the long run! who else does this?

    • obie987 says:

Watermelon and pumpkins fill their belly the best and grow the quickest, and cost the least. So plant plenty of them.

      • Beckinz8 says:

Actually, the cabbages, butternut squash, and cherry tomatoes each give a +32 hunger meter boost, whereas the watermelon and pumpkins each give a +25 boost. But the initial cost for the seeds at 45KC and the resale value of pumpkins and watermelons is best at 10KC per item, and @obie987 is correct about the shorter growing times – 7 days for pumpkins and watermelons vs. 9 days for cabbage, and I am not sure for squash and cherry tomatoes. I agree with @hoppingalong – gardens can be an easy way to have a steady food supply or KC flow, although, as I don’t play Webkinz Next, I’m not sure if it works the same over there. I read something about the plants going away after 10 harvests or something? So if you plant a large garden, do you just have to completely replace it every 10 weeks (based on 7 days to harvest)? Nexties, please let me know.

        • Sally Webkinz says:

In Webkinz Next, all growing plants take 4 days to harvest. Each plant can be harvested 10 times. So if you consistently harvested, you’d replace the plants every 40 days.
