Today’s Throwback Thursday is a look back at our very first rare theme: the Egyptian Theme!
Normally, items in a rare theme can only be found in the Curio Shop, which means there’s a chance each day that one of these items might appear there, but for one hour only!
When the Curio Shop opened in 2006, the Egyptian Theme was the one and only rare theme in all of Webkinz World. However, not all items in this theme made the cut: there was a toybox that looked like an Egyptian sarcophagus which was deemed to be inappropriate for our audience at that time, and was never released.
Since then, there have been some additions to the Egyptian theme that are a little easier for the Webkinz Archaeologist to dig up! If you keep an eye on the Ganz eStore or the new WShop, you might just see a Kitti of the Nile, the Egyptian Room Divider, a Golden Hippo Toybox, or the frighteningly-funny Mummy’s Awake!
There was also an Egyptian Mummy Mask that was available in the KinzStyle Outlet only for Halloween back in 2012!

I have a few items from this theme. I have the fridge, wallpaper, flooring, bed, the rare clothing piece, and several other items. I don’t know which is my favorite one. By the way, does anyone notice that a lot of items from room themes are now becoming deluxe only? I don’t like how that’s happening. :( :( :(
yeah I don’t think people are gonna join just because of one item from a theme they want. and it’s all the good items too. :( :cry: :? :( :mad: :evil: :oops:
Me neither, even though I’m Deluxe, it still really bothers me when EVERYTHING (well, not litterally EVERYTHING, but you know what I mean) goes Deluxe! ~MGFish~
Same here I’m a deluxe but I feel bad for all non-deluxe members because a LOT of the items are becoming deluxe only little by little :( :( :cry: :oops:
I love the bed and the fridge the most. I also love that the TV looks better from the back so I can place it in my room like the one in this picture.
all of the rare Egyptian theme’s additions are excellent !!! would love all of them!!
I love the Mummy’s Awake fireplace. I’d buy that from Arte!

I have them all! My fav is the refrig. To bad the old toybox was never released I like it.
I love the bed, pillars, and Mummy’s Awake. I only have Kitti of the Nile and the Frig.

The Egyptian Vanity Chair was the first rare item I ever bought. That was before I knew anything about rare themes, so I designed a whole guest bedroom around it.
I don’t have any items from this theme but I love the Bed, too bad I couldn’t get it when it was on sale. At the time I was new to Webkinz and didn’t have a lot of money (before they retired the theme). Have fun trading for them!
