Today’s Throwback Thursday is a look back at our very first rare theme: the Egyptian Theme!
Normally, items in a rare theme can only be found in the Curio Shop, which means there’s a chance each day that one of these items might appear there, but for one hour only!
When the Curio Shop opened in 2006, the Egyptian Theme was the one and only rare theme in all of Webkinz World. However, not all items in this theme made the cut: there was a toybox that looked like an Egyptian sarcophagus which was deemed to be inappropriate for our audience at that time, and was never released.
Since then, there have been some additions to the Egyptian theme that are a little easier for the Webkinz Archaeologist to dig up! If you keep an eye on the Ganz eStore or the new WShop, you might just see a Kitti of the Nile, the Egyptian Room Divider, a Golden Hippo Toybox, or the frighteningly-funny Mummy’s Awake!
There was also an Egyptian Mummy Mask that was available in the KinzStyle Outlet only for Halloween back in 2012!

Egyptian theme looks awesome! I so bad wish that i had that theme. This theme totally reminds me of Cleopas. To bad Ganz never released the Egyptian sarcophas toybox thing xD
Mummy’s Awake is great! I put the green ooze from Halloween in front of mine to make it a little creepier. I decorated my room with treasure and all the things my mummy needs for his next life.
I loved this theme. I was just starting to collect when it retired. I would love to find pieces that would work with it. Those eStore additions are great!

all I need is: Golden Hippo Toybox, Nefertiti’s Headdress and Pharaoh’s outfit (have mask) to complete entire Egyptian Theme. BTW, please please please release that awesome sarcophagus toybox that was never released; it TOTALLY ROCKS!!!!
The Egyptian theme was the BEST theme they had I wish they would bring it back,, I need the majestic throne yet.
There was also an estore small pyramid, a little 1 x 1 thing that goes inyour room and looks like a toy. I have that one.
I am missing only the bed and vanity. Wish they would bring it back for a short time.
