Trick Or Treat Street Concept Drawings

The Webkinz Newz community recently chose the Treat or Treat Street theme as this year’s Halloween room theme and today, I am excited to show you the first set of concept drawings!

I really like how this theme is turning out, but there is still some time before the artists start modeling each item in 3D. This is your chance to leave feedback in the comments section below. Tell us what you like or don’t like about each item or how you would make them better. We will be reading each comment carefully and take all your suggestions into consideration before making the final items.

Here is a look at the homes that will be included in this theme. You will be able to add the homes to the border of an outdoor room to create the feel of a neighborhood that is decorated for Halloween. There will be three different homes, each featured in a unique color. You’ll be able to mix and match colors or set up a neighborhood using only one. Do you like the colors we used?:

We added the road tiles that you could collect playing SPREE to the W-Shop and now you’ll have sidewalk pieces to match them. I think they will be perfect to use as pathways leading to each house as well. The paw prints are a nice touch but you don’t need to use them if you don’t like. The sidewalk tiles will change slightly when you rotate them in your room:

This lamp post is beautiful and I love that it will glow purple when it’s turned on. The Trick or Treat banner is also the perfect touch. What do you think?:

The last concept drawing I have to show today is a hedge that is decorated for Halloween. The concept drawing features a giant spider decoration resting on top of the hedge, but it will change with each rotation, giving you lots of design options:

Don’t forget to leave a comment letting us know what you like or don’t like about each item. You could have a hand in how the final pieces will look! We will be taking every comment into consideration.

Stay tuned for some more concept drawings coming soon. I plan on posting them on Saturday, Aug 17th.

Hey everybody: If they make the houses a dispensers, then they will have to charge e-store points!. remember this is supposed to be for kinz cash so everyone can buy .

I don’t really know what a dispenser is in Webkinz, but I’m going to assume it gives you a food item. Maybe they could give you something cheap from the W shop. Like a cookie of some sort of candy.

    • Powerann says:

They could still make the houses WShop if Ganz made it so that they dispensed candies on Halloween (and ONLY on Halloween). This would make it realistic, too. After all, that’s the only day for Trick-or-Treating IRL.

That’s a very interesting idea ~Powerann. It would be the same idea in WW as having the Hannukah menorahs light one candle a day every year during the eight days of Hannukah (this year December 22-30). So in theory, something like that should be possible. Imagine how sad players would be though, if they didn’t get on the computer on October 31.

How about all of October so everyone gets a chance!

I am probably repeating things that have already been said, but as for as the houses go, I do like the colors, but they are all the same. A little bit of difference would be nice. It would be great if they were floor items as we could then make a street of them, vs a courtyard. If they do stay wall items, then I hope they will fit together better, as the Christmas ones can’t fit together perfectly. Not sure I like the Halloween banner on the light. Would be fine if it was an option, but if all light posts have them, I don’t see myself using many of them. Love the hedge and the pathway. Excited to see this new theme!

I am really liking these concept drawings! One interesting thing to think about would be making the houses floor items, not wall items. They could be like 1×2 and set up and rotated anywhere in the room. This does also mean you use up a little more space in the room, instead of just having them on the outside, but then you could also use them in indoor rooms with the cool wallpapers…

LOVE IT !! Cant wait to get this theme.

Same here. Finally!!.. a theme I will get. So many have come and gone that I just didn’t care for, thus I didn’t get them. I did buy the wall sink in the painted glass theme, but nothing else. I don’t have anything from the birthday party theme, (too cluttered for me). The solution is so simple for those who don’t like some or all of this theme.

Love most of it so far, but the houses! Love the colors, but they need different looks, how many streets have all the SAME houses???

    • Eilish says:

Thousands!! Some have the same floorplans with a “flip” giving the houses a slightly different look. The concept drawings show what has been popular for centuries. I looked up some of my ancestors and found their Boston addresses. Every building for many blocks have the same red brick look. Bay windows are common. Beautiful old neighborhoods still wrapping their old arms around new families.

      • gml1939 says:

Yes, my daughter lives in Philadelphia and there are blocks and blocks of houses stuck together and looking just alike. I was shocked first time I visited her! lol – Because I live in Southwest and we have space between the individual houses. So it’s what a person is used to, and where they’ve been raised, I guess. Just differences.

This is not at all what I envisioned based on the concept drawing shown. I would would want the houses to be varied as the Christmas homes and shops are. I would not use these in a room as they are now :( Simply changing the color is not enough. It would be awesome if each had it’s own look and was decorated for Halloween rather than looking like a rundown, abandoned town. While the colors are representative of Halloween they seem a bit overwhelming on each structure. Love the other items shown. It would be wonderful if the Lamp post could rotate and have no banner on one side to add to its versatility and as I saw suggested, the same for the Spider hedge. I’m a huge fan of the Ganz art team and appreciate all they do <3

I wish that the houses were treat dispensers. It would be so much fun to actually trick or treat with these houses. :)

  8. paintinanc says:

I am hoping for more house fronts like the candy dispensers we got the last couple of years.

  9. Ilovehifive says:

I love it all also but can see what they are talking about..the colors are perfect but with the Christmas was a combination of shapes..it might have been nice to have that as well in the Halloween houses but love them just the same..either way is nice..

    Love those colors together!
