On September 4, Google will be releasing a new version of Chrome that will affect your experience with Webkinz.
Starting with that update, you will need to approve the use of Flash each time you load your browser. When you visit Webkinz for the first time, you will see this:
Please click Allow Flash Player. You will then see this:
Again, click Allow. You are now complete and ready to play Webkinz. As long as you do not close your browser (you keep one window/tab open) you will not have to reapprove Flash. So if you log out of Webkinz, you will be able to log back in without any issues. If you do fully close your browser, you will need to approve Flash again the next time you open it.
Currently, this change will only affect Chrome, though we do expect this change to soon be introduced to other browsers like Edge and Firefox.
As many of you have heard, Flash – the technology on which Webkinz runs – will be removed completely from browsers in 2020. As that time nears, using Flash in browsers will become more difficult. We are fully aware of the challenges that this will pose to fans of Webkinz.
We at GANZ are dedicated to ensuring that Webkinz can be enjoyed for years to come. We currently are working on multiple projects that will keep you playing and enjoying your pets, as well as take the game into the future for even more fun. While we cannot discuss the specifics of those projects at this time (they are in development and their details may change) we do hope to begin sharing details by the end of the year.

I’ve been doing this already. Every time I clear cache I have to approve flash. I got used to it, so this is no big deal to me. Thanks for keeping us in the loop :)
Thank you for the heads up. I will get in the habit of leaving a window/tab open to google. Sometimes I get kicked off due to inactivity.
Thank you for the update and thank you for continuing to work on Webkinz World even though the technology will be changing radically. Those of u who have invested our time and money into it appreciate that. I was wondering, though… it has been several months now since the bonus Kinzcash for family score filled hearts went away. Is that ever going to come back? If not, I can cut back on at least two of my accounts.

They have a “free prizes” icon in the things to do tab now. If you go into that you can watch videos and get extra kinzcash that way. I believe that replaces to bonus kinzcash we used to get. You get quite a bit from doing that. I do not do it as I have a ton of kinzcash, have been playing for a very very long time.
Thanks for the info! I know that everybody is doing everything possible to keep this game up and running. I just can’t imagine not playing in Webkinz World. Plus, I have a long wish list of pets and ideas for rooms so I plan on playing for the rest of my life. So, thanks for all y’all do for us!
We love you Ganz! You have a great team that will put everything on the line for the good of their fanbase. You are fabulous and I do not doubt Webkinz will be up and running until 2099 and probably even after that! Keep on pushing Ganz!
Thank you Webkinz for letting us know in advance what we will need to do with Chrome. This is what I use so will now be prepared. Keep Webkinz going for all of us that love it so much.

This is what I always feared. A lot of folks put their money on this game buying things through out the years. A lot of our money has been used to futher our gameing fun of this. I hope you will help all of us.
