Recently we’ve received numerous reports of long “Please Wait” cycles happening in Webkinz World. We have discovered the root cause of this issue and want to give an update on it.
Over the last few months we have been making numerous changes behind the scenes to improve service performance and reliability. We’ve already seen the benefits of this when over the holidays a major outage hit Ganz, but didn’t affect Webkinz.com.
A change last week resulted in players seeing a cycle of the message “Please Wait” appearing and disappearing for an extended length of time. It would pass, but could often take a long time.
What was happening is your Friends List was being converted to our new system. For players with only a few friends, it might not even have been noticed. But if you had a full 500 friends, you were in for a wait.
The good news is that this will only ever happen once. Once converted, your account is good to go.
That said, we were not properly prepared for the impact of this change and apologize for the delays this caused.
As a token of our appreciation for your patience, we’ve created a community feature code for all of you. This code awards the S’More Sweater and Scarf and can be redeemed once per account until March 31, 2018.

Ohhhh, okay! Thank you for telling us what was going on, I really appreciate that. Fortunately for me, I cleared out my friends list a long while ago, so I didn’t have to wait very long with this. Thanks so much for the code! I love the top, it’s really cute. ^-^
Thank you for the community code and here is the solution to the problem: go to the arcade and stay there (without loading any games) until the ‘Please waits’ have gone away. This could take a few minutes, however once the sync is complete you will not experience this again. This does work because i tried it and now webkinz is now running faster than before for me! :D
Also when you get to the arcade open the kinz chat phone, wait for the please waits to go away, then turn on the phone and webkinz will run faster than ever! :D

Ganz: You’re truly the best. (big smiley face.) In fact, I had not experienced this particular issue, and actually haven’t been on WKN much this week…(ridiculously busy week.) When I had downtime, I spent it with my real pets, and my Webkinz pets), but I just got on WKN, and saw this message. I had to log on and post, because I was really “wowed” by your professionalism, transparency, and generosity. You guys (and gals!) are just amazing; thank you so much. Your efforts to continue to upgrade your system, and transition to the application, and fix all of our individual tech issues, it certainly does not go unnoticed by me. I am a Ganz/Webkinz fan for life. Thanks again!
It has effected my accounts which are not deluxe.. those accounts I have just about stopped playing the lag, the freezing the crash. It took me 15 minutes to get 8 pets hearts full. Please fix what ever is wrong. I LOVE WEBKINZ and this is all making me crazy.
I already have 11 of these oh well . A HAMSTER TIKI or TROPHY stands would be nice this year !! PLEASE !!
