Recently we’ve received numerous reports of long “Please Wait” cycles happening in Webkinz World. We have discovered the root cause of this issue and want to give an update on it.
Over the last few months we have been making numerous changes behind the scenes to improve service performance and reliability. We’ve already seen the benefits of this when over the holidays a major outage hit Ganz, but didn’t affect Webkinz.com.
A change last week resulted in players seeing a cycle of the message “Please Wait” appearing and disappearing for an extended length of time. It would pass, but could often take a long time.
What was happening is your Friends List was being converted to our new system. For players with only a few friends, it might not even have been noticed. But if you had a full 500 friends, you were in for a wait.
The good news is that this will only ever happen once. Once converted, your account is good to go.
That said, we were not properly prepared for the impact of this change and apologize for the delays this caused.
As a token of our appreciation for your patience, we’ve created a community feature code for all of you. This code awards the S’More Sweater and Scarf and can be redeemed once per account until March 31, 2018.

How will we know when our “Friend’s List” has been converted? The “Please Wait” has been going on longer than “last week”, and I’ve only noticed it getting worse.

Awesome! Thanks for doing this, Ganz! At first I thought you guys were going to quit Webkinz. I love the prize! It’s a brown and white outfit with a pink scarf on it. And oh my gosh, Ganz. You returned the Webkinz Runway room, Exercise room, and the Link’d room ! ! ! I thought I’d never see them again! Then again, I miss the Glam Boutique, Games Room, and all of the older clubhouse rooms. I’m a bigger fan of the OLD webkinz more than the NEW webkinz. Again, PLEASE DON’T QUIT AMAZING WORLD! THAT’S HALF OF MY LIFE!!!!!!! ~Jazzerielwix
Also, the runway in the Runway room isn’t working. And why are there coms in the WEbkinz stadium? It’s kind of creepy how the people we’re going against aren’t real. And what’s the point of the runway room when you can’t change your outfit in the room and not even when you first enter the CH? You USED to be able. I miss the Girls Rule room.
