Recently we’ve received numerous reports of long “Please Wait” cycles happening in Webkinz World. We have discovered the root cause of this issue and want to give an update on it.
Over the last few months we have been making numerous changes behind the scenes to improve service performance and reliability. We’ve already seen the benefits of this when over the holidays a major outage hit Ganz, but didn’t affect Webkinz.com.
A change last week resulted in players seeing a cycle of the message “Please Wait” appearing and disappearing for an extended length of time. It would pass, but could often take a long time.
What was happening is your Friends List was being converted to our new system. For players with only a few friends, it might not even have been noticed. But if you had a full 500 friends, you were in for a wait.
The good news is that this will only ever happen once. Once converted, your account is good to go.
That said, we were not properly prepared for the impact of this change and apologize for the delays this caused.
As a token of our appreciation for your patience, we’ve created a community feature code for all of you. This code awards the S’More Sweater and Scarf and can be redeemed once per account until March 31, 2018.

Still can’t play on webkinz site. “Please Wait” is still popping up. I can’t play any games or do any activities because “Please Wait” does not go away. Most of the time the site freezes up. I was not able to play the trophy game. Please fix this problem.
Try going to the Arcade and letting it sit. It may take some time, but when it’s finally done with the Please Wait, it should be good to go.
Mayzle, I totally agree with you this “please wait” is causing so many problems. I empty me cache sit and wait at a site like Sally just said but it still locks up. it’s making it really hard to play home before dark to get the trophy. Please ganz do something for us so we can all have a chance to get that trophy. Maybe you can extend the days so we have more time. Thanks
That didn’t work … I only have the Webkinz and a few players in my Friends List, how long should that take?
Will deleting all the players in my Friend’s List fix this issue? Don’t really want to lose my Friends, but cannot play anything … and the Mobile version doesn’t have anything to do. More than frustrating …
Deleting players in my Friends List did not help … I’ll try sitting in the Arcade.
Dear Ganz people, this is so frustrating!!!!!! Thanks for the code but all the problems are still going on. Not much fun playing when “please wait” is still going on. Hard to catch floating dice too. everything crashes. when do you think all of this will stop so we can go back to playing and just have fun??
Thank you for the sweater BUT the “Please Wait” problem is getting worse. It is impossible to go from The Tournament area to The Arcade – so frustrating. I know you are working on it – HELP!!!
What I do most of the time is go back home and open all my gift boxes (like the Peek-A-News) This usually help fix it for me.
Mine stopped today took about a week But I did not stay on webkinz much just enough to do my daily activities and then logged off
I am still having a difficult time playing at all on my accounts as they continue to say please wait, or long running script or simply the browser just crashes. I hope you a still working to fix the problems. Thank you!
