Due to an issue beyond our control, as of January 1, 2021, Webkinz Classic will no longer work on browsers. The Flash plug-in, which is required for our site to run will not be supported by browsers after December 31, 2020.
The good news is that Webkinz Classic has a downloadable Desktop App that functions exactly the same way as our original site, but it doesn’t require a browser in order to play!
To make sure your play is uninterrupted, it’s important to download the Desktop App as soon as possible.
Ask your parents for help downloading the Desktop App and installing it on your computer.
Downloading the app is simple. Just visit the Webkinz homepage, and click one of the download buttons. There is a version for Windows and a version for Mac.
When the download has completed click on the wxsetup.exe in Windows or wxsetup.dmg on Mac in your Downloads folder and follow the prompts.
Once it is installed, you’re all set! You can continue to enjoy the same game you know and love!
And remember – you must install the Webkinz Classic Desktop App before January 2021 in order to enjoy uninterrupted play.
I like the app — I just wish I could still see my computer dock while I’m playing so I’d know if I had new emails. But I do think everything looks great on the new app.
If you’re using windows like I am, you can push the windows logo button on your keyboard to see the task bar while in the desktop app. You can even toggle back and forth between your email or something else and the desktop app. When you swap back to the app the tool bar will be hidden again.
Please adjust the app so it isn’t full screen. I can’t play with 2 accounts open side by side anymore! I have been playing since 2007 but if I can’t play with accounts side by side…..
Sally Webkinz . The park on the new app looks less than half size as the one I am using with Chrome. I can hardly see the words and I am using a larger laptop. I took some pictures with my phone since there is not an in app way to do that. I have to send pictures back to my laptop to send. I have had another issue with one of my accounts(only 1) not able to use the scroll to change pets. It vanishes on just that one account. Someone tried to say it must be a setting in my computer, but I don’t see how when it is on only one account. Another one of my friends thought maybe it was the time I added that account. I really need some help, but I have found it depends on who gets the info. I sent all kinds of info out when I could not log on to estore. One person said must be my settings, but another person said they would send on the info to the person who fixes these things and then it was fixed. Whew! I have quite a few estore points. Thanks for any help.
If you have a very high resolution screen, things may seem a lot smaller. Your best bet is to email webkinzsupport@ganz.com and they can pass you on if it’s another department that can help you better
What does it mean by uninterrupted play? Will something happen to my account if I don’t download the app right away? It won’t get corrupt or deleted will it? I’m freaking out. I’ve played this game since 2007 and I can’t lose that. Does it just mean that I won’t have to wait to play? I’m very confused. Help.
Nothing will happen to your account. If you don’t download the Desktop App, you will not be able to play the full version of Webkinz as the browser version will no longer function in January. Only your access is affected — your account is fine.
I want to download the Desk top App but I just can/t do it. Please I need help at my age things become harder to without help,
Go to webkinz.com and look for where it says Webkinz Desktop App. If you have a Windows machine, click Download for Windows and then double-click the .exe to install it. If you have a Mac, click Download for Mac and then double-click the .dmg and drag the Webkinz app into your Applications folder
What happens to webkinz classic after December 31when the flash player isn’t available?
The Webkinz Desktop App has been updated to no longer require Flash Player. You will need to use the Webkinz Desktop App to continue playing
I have this new windows desktop app downloaded ,delete it the other one before but I can not open Kinzville Movie theatre,is have something to do with 3rd part?

Will we be able to play Jumbleberries, Mall, and Wishing well on the classic when flash is gone? They aren’t there now.

I play webkinz on a chromebook and it runs on Chrome… both of the desktop options say it’s unavailable to me. What should I do?? :(
