The Valentine Community Challenge has started in Webkinz Next!
This year, from February 11-February 14, we’ll work together as a community to accomplish three lovely tasks. Participants will win a Valentine’s Sweetheart Teatime Set.
To participate, click the icon on the left-hand side of the screen.
Our first goal is to earn 80,000 Kinzcash from Cake It Up. Head to the arcade to play along!
Our second goal is to gather 15,000 Material Boxes from the vending machine. The vending machine is located just outside of The Curio Shop. Click on the blue Material Box to collect it. You can collect one Material Box a day.
Our final community task is to make 2000 Sweetheart Cakes on the Stove.
Every player who participates in at least one task will qualify for the Sweetheart Teatime Set. But we will only win that grand prize if all three tasks are completed by Tuesday, February 14th.

I don’t think we will be able to collect enough material boxes to meet the challenge. You only get one a day and that is not enough. It would take a longer time to complete that part of the challenge. We will see.

hello everyone! this is for sally, please: an appeal asking that the sweetheart cake recipe not be removed until at least feb. 15 (would be even better if once we get a recipe we could just keep it). but anyway, here’s the reason for my request–as i collect food items, of course i want one of these for my frig…however, i had to purchase and plant the apricot once we knew of the challenge & from my research it takes 4 days to grow. i really want to make this recipe :) thanks much, k.

Love these challenges, especially because we can see a counter for everyone! That said: Please fix the snowman announcements. Please fix zoom. Please stop webkinz from basically time lapsing to property entrances. Also please consider an option to replant the plant that was just exhausted by adding a button right then and there, when you collect soil? I keep having to log out and back in because while trying to plant a large farm, a plant will bug out, become unusable, and mess up everything. It makes replanting day a very frowny time. Thank you!!!
Is the snowman event open or closed?!? Please pick just one because the revolving door notice signs are making me dizzy! I will aim to play specifically when the snowman is taking a break just to avoid this until the issue is fixed. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.

I agree. I kept seeing notifications pop up every few seconds and it is making me dizzy too. I normally like playing Fantastic Snowman, but after all of these constant notifications, I’m worried that it could give me a really bad headache.
I agree! I was trying to play Tile Towers and it had me just about nuts, I ended up just logging out.
I’ve been having the same issue and have been reporting it to them. Dunno when of if they are going to fix it. Good luck.
You may want to reconsider the material box quota – 15000 boxes equals 3750 per day, one has passed and we’re only at 2998+. I don’t see this being attainable. You just don’t have as many users as you think.
I agree – sadly I had collected my material very early yesterday morning and the challenge started later in the morning so I’ll bet mine didn’t count. If I had KNOWN that the challenge was starting, I would have waited, but the previous article only stated that the challenge was “coming soon”. A more detailed event calendar would be appreciated.
The only part of the challenge I’m worried about is collecting 15,000 material boxes in only 4 days. Since we can collect just one box a day, that goal seems high.

Please fix the zoom – it was bad enough we couldn’t see our whole plots before but now it’s so much worse and so jumpy my plants dance.
Agreed! I can’t to some spots at all and can’t see others. It was not great before, but the change made it terrible :(
I noticed I can’t zoom in as much as I could before, so my pets’ reach is much less than it was. I had placed crops and large dispensables in such a manner that my pets didn’t even have to leave the house to harvest them.
Sorry, I meant to say cannot zoom out as much.
The zoom is making it nearly impossible to farm. Replanting is already such a tedious chore, but this makes it SO much worse. While you’re at it, could my webkin maybe not randomly jump to the entry way of the property while I’m trying to do things?

I love how we can see the progress of the challenge tasks – it is an awesome feature! I wish we could have a Community Challenge for Classic – it’s been a long time.
