Big news! We had an enthusiastic response to the ten finalists in our Wallpaper & Flooring contest. All of the submissions were fantastic – as always we are blown away by the talented Webkinz community!
We looked at your comments and discussed it among the Creative and Art teams and we are excited to announce the three winners which will be made into wallpaper and flooring in Webkinz World! Two of these wallpapers and floorings will be available at Ganz eStore later in the year, but one is going to be sold for Kinzcash. Which one? Watch Webkinz Newz for more info!

Congratulations to the winners, especially my favourites – Observatory and Ocean Overlook. I was really sorry to see that my other two favourites – First Webkinz on the Moon and Mid Century – didn’t make the final cut (they, too, were amazing and unique designs).

I have strange feeling the loft wallpaper will be the only one available for kinzcash, which is both unfair and sad.

That is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard… I WAS LOOKING FORWARD TO ALL OF THESE AND NOW ONLY ONE IS KINZCASH?!?! Come on Ganz!!! >:( It better be the observatory… I REALLY like it but never would buy it with points.
I understand you have to make things in the Estore to keep webkinz running, but THESE? :(
I use ALLYSSA wallpaper now for behind haunted rooms. I NEED a LARGE WALL MOON !! I have been asking for WELL OVER 2 YEARS !! Yes make this NON ESTORE. I can use trees to hide black areas then add house and trees with MOON PEERING out next to house . SAD just 1 SINGLE MOON to add to where we want to could make a BIG DIFFERENCE !! USE this wallpaper for us all .

I am disappointed that only one will be available to everyone. But even more disappointed that is was not made clear before. It would have been fine if it was made clear from the beginning. If when the contest was first announced it had said ‘there will be three winning designs, one will be available for kinzcash and the other two will be sold at Ganz estore’ everyone would have understood what was happening. It is hard to choose a favourite I would like for kinzcash as I really like all three designs. But simply due to its unique-ness I think users would enjoy having the loft available for kinzcash.
I’m so happy with the 3 chosen although I feel they should all be available for Kinzcash.
I am so disappointed that only one of these will become a Kinzcash item. I understand that Webkinz still exists because of the revenue from the eStore and Deluxe memberships, so I have no beef with the existence of eStore and Deluxe, but nowhere in this contest did you make it clear that the designs from this contest would be eStore. I was so excited to see my favorite design, the Observatory, at the top of this article, until I read that news that I might have to pay for it. Please, Ganz, make the Observatory the design that is available for Kinzcash.
Hi dinosaurtracker13, I agree with you. I also hope that the Observatory will be the one sold for Kinzcash. I would like to see more of the nice/unique items go for kinzcash and not just eStore points. (just for the record I am a deluxe member)
I concur. I hope they drop all the restrictions on items when they come out with Webkinz desktop.
Thanks for bringing this up. It’s really hard to decorate with such limited items. I understand that stuff like dispensers and rides and all might need to be sold for points, but there are so many themes that are available in the estore, and we are lucky to get one theme a year for kinzcash (and even then, we can’t get all the items because some are deluxe)
Ugh, same here!! I wish they had specified that they’d be estore items with the contest guidelines :( I love the observatory design but can’t afford estore points, I hope it’s the kinzcash one but I don’t think it’s likely :(
i was so excited until i heard they were not all kinzcash :( i have 20k kinzcash because there’s nothing to spend it on anymore
