Big news! We had an enthusiastic response to the ten finalists in our Wallpaper & Flooring contest. All of the submissions were fantastic – as always we are blown away by the talented Webkinz community!
We looked at your comments and discussed it among the Creative and Art teams and we are excited to announce the three winners which will be made into wallpaper and flooring in Webkinz World! Two of these wallpapers and floorings will be available at Ganz eStore later in the year, but one is going to be sold for Kinzcash. Which one? Watch Webkinz Newz for more info!

Sweet! These were my top three room designs.. I can’t wait to see these made into virtual! But whaaatt, man I didn’t know most of the designs would be eStore items =( That’s disappointing.. I was expecting these to be Kinzcash, which is why I was so excited about these wallpapers!
I hope Observatory will be for kinzcash. It is by far my favourite.
Why estore??? I think if webkinz members design it, it should be for webkinz members at the wshop instead of having to buy it at the estore. I know the estore funds are a way to keep the platform alive, but not everyone can afford it. I myself am one of those people. I completely understood the rationale for the pet buddies, and also for the deluxe item, because that was implied up front. I know you have to pay the people who render and fully “flush out” the concept into its webkinz world friendly design, but at the same time I get frustrated over two-thirds of items being estore only.
Congratulations winners! Can’t wait to see which one is in the WShop, and will certainly purchase the other two. I appreciate Webkinz even allowing patrons of Webkinz World to have input and influence this wonderful site!
Hi dinosaurtracker13 and kittycat1999 I agree with both of you. These were created by members and should all be available for kinzcash. Webkinz, why can’t you just charge more kinzcash for the other two designs, which would allow everyone to buy them eventually.
I wish the observatory would be available for kinzcash. I’m scared that it won’t be though because it’s so interesting and beautiful, and usually those are reserved for estore :/ I already bought some Alyssa star wallpaper of some sort from the estore because it was the only way to get a starry background. Please give us a way to have a starry background from the wshop. It’s only fair
Wouldn’t it be ironic if one of these 3 winners could not afford to pay epoints to buy their own wallpaper and flooring?? Same with all player submitted items.

Please make the Observatory the one available for Kinzcash. It’s very beautiful and my favorite of the three.
I would pick the observatory as the one available for Kinzcash. I think the loft flooring is too similar to the Light Pine Wood Flooring, which is already available in the W Shop, and the Ocean Overlook looks more like eStore wallpaper.
