From Baby to Kid to Adult
Sparking a baby is just the beginning of your Webkinz Next family story! Once you’ve welcomed your new baby pet, you can help it grow through each stage of life—from baby to kid to adult.
As you play the game, your baby will occasionally send you growth requests—special tasks that help them grow. Complete 15 growth requests to help your baby grow into a kid.
Once your pet becomes a kid, you’ll need to play as your kid pet in the game to unlock new growth requests. Each completed request fills their growth meter, bringing them one step closer to adulthood.
When their growth meter is full, your kid will be ready to evolve into a full-grown Webkinz adult!
Both babies and kids can complete one growth request every eight hours, so check in regularly to keep your family growing.
Short on time? No problem! You can send your baby or kid to daycare to help them grow while you’re away. Each daycare visit lasts 24 hours and earns one growth meter fill when they return.
The first baby or kid you send to daycare each day is free, and every additional pet costs 250 KinzCash.
Watching your Webkinz pets grow is an incredibly rewarding part of the game. Whether you’re completing growth requests or sending them off to daycare, it’s so fun to watch your family grow-up.

Would it ever be possible to get a family tree feature? I forgot who sparked what baby with who, and it would be cool to track the “lineage.” I started taking notes in my phone, but I don’t know how to see for my older ones!
My one request is to have the “Grow Up” button further away from the play with your baby button or an “Are You Sure?” check. I have accidentally grown up a pet twice and there is no going back. It made me very unhappy :-(
I know sparking is supposed to be random, but when I sparked the vampire kittens a while back, all i got was the same vampire kitten pets — but when i sparked my NEW GERMAN SHEPHERD, which was near impossible to find, I never sparked a baby shepherd using all 3 sparks! It kind of seemed unfair and a like gut punch, seeing as how the new pets are all sold out in town. Kind of makes me leary to buy or spark anymore pets! :(
So sad for you. This happened to me with my giraffes, I had one spark left and got a rare elephant.
To get the pet gift box from a pet you sparked, they need to be fully grown up and you need to complete one pet request from them.
yes I know…: ) ….I was saying I wished we could get gifts when become kids because I love many of mine as kids(so cute) but would really like the gifts.
Hi, love making me Webbies ! My only suggestion is it would be great if we could get their gifts when they become kids. I have a lot of kids that I want to keep kids, but would really like the gifts. Of course, no sparking until an adult :) …
I have wanted that as well. Really want to keep some of mine kids (and babies), but don’t like that we can’t get their gift if we do :(
