Blue Spring Candy Bark

This treat has two parts. The nest that we will make out of marshmallow Rice Krispie treats. And the bark part on top.

Ingredients

Nest

  1.  1 Cup White Chocolate
  2. Chocolate Eggs
  3. Blue and Pink Sparkles

Bark

  1. Half a cup of butter
  2. 4 cups of rice crips cereal
  3. A bag of marshmallows
  4. Vanilla extract, to taste
  5. Blue food colouring

Directions

First, make the bark:

  1. Line a plate with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the chocolate. Using a microwave-safe bowl, put it in the microwave for 35 seconds.
  3. Stir the chocolate until it is smooth.
  4. Scoop the chocolate onto the parchment paper and smooth it out.
  5. Now it’s time to decorate! Use lots of sprinkles and chocolate eggs to make your bark look extra springy.
  6. Place in the fridge to harden.

Now, make the nest:

    1. Prepare a cake pan.
    2. Melt the butter in a large sauce pan.
    3. Over low heat, add the marshmallows. Stir until they are melted and beautiful.
    4. Take the mixture off the heat and add the food colouring. 2 drops were added in the video. Add a 3rd drop for extra blue-ness!
    5. Add a dash of vanilla.
    6. Add the rice crisp treats and stir to combine.
    7. Time to mold the nest! Place the rice crisp mixture into a small bowl to mold a nest shape. Mold as many nests as you desire or add the rest of the mixture to a pan to create Rice Krispie treats.
    8. Take the cooled chocolate bark out of the fridge and break it apart.
    9. Take your nests out of their molds and decorate them with your cutest pieces of bark!
