The Golden Trophy Case is nice. The Island Wheel is really nice! The rest is kind of meh! Too many old repeated prizes! I don’t mind repeated or old prizes, if there has been a couple of years since we were able to get or win them. Extras are always nice, but we aren’t seeing any really old prizes. Just recently old. From the comments I’ve read so far, I assume the Scuba outfit is from an older prize collection. I really like that and am grateful to get the chance to win at least one set of the scuba outfit. Please consider adding much older prizes, even more of the Ancient Civilization and Dr. Quack’s Clinic. I’m just getting tired of recent prizes showing up on the Wheels. Makes me not want to play them. :-(
Politely disagree with you here; I don’t want to see super old prizes show up. It ruins their value and makes things not worth working for in the trading rooms, plus it increases the likelihood of people getting scammed. I was disappointed to see that stove from 2016 show up on the Vacation Wheel during the previous update because I had been saving mine to trade for something valuable. Now it’s worthless.
I’m afraid that I disagree. Older prizes are “new” for more recent players and gives long time players a chance at duplicates. In my experience, newer players often don’t have much to trade that is the same value as super rare prizes that were awarded from before they even began playing. Trading something like that would only be worthwhile if you managed to track down a player who had played as long, and as consistently, as you had. Webkinz welcomes new players, while keeping older players interested and coming back, and I prefer it that way.
Not worthless at all. Trading so called values are what the two parties value them as. Not sure why things have to have values when you can just trade for trading.
@catsrock2012 Right, but the chances of getting what I want, say if I wanted to trade for another item that was as old as the stove, since it’s so easy to get now it wouldn’t be worth trading for older items.
@FoxesRule612 – I can understand your reasoning, but keep in mind that these items are virtual, not real. Not really valuable in the sense of real money. I never Trade on Webkinz for this reason. I may see something I want, but not have anything that another player would want to trade for. This is why I use the Forums here on Webkinz Newz. I can usually find someone who has something I want or need, that is willing to make a trade with me. I try very hard to compensate the giver with something I have that they would want. Sometimes they ask for nothing in return, which is usually what I do, too. It makes me happy to share extra items I have with other players. This is why I wish ALL items that are ePoints and eStore items were sendable through KinzPost. A virtual item has no real monetary value. Please note, I am referring to virtual items in virtual games where real money is spent to play said games. If Webkinz ever, heaven forbid, goes away, we ALL will lose our virtual items and pets. Please don’t wish that those of us who did not get a chance to get the older items when they first came out. I would never wish that on any player, both old and new. We newer players deserve to have a chance to get older items without having to stress out in the Trading Room. That is why I trade only in the Forum here on Webkinz Newz. Webkinz friends are among the most kind hearted people in the World, especially those in the Trading Forum on Webkinz Newz. :-)
@alucard I know these are virtual items. :) When I commented earlier I meant “value” in a virtual-only context. But many people have worked for trying to trade for old and retired items, only for them to come back. That’s kinda disappointing. Would you be disappointed if you had a lava lamp that was retired in 2006, and you worked hard getting the right amount of same-value (not as in monetary valued) items, meaning items that were retired close to that same amount of time, only for it to come back and now everyone has it? In addition to the scamming issue. I’m not as old of a player as that, but I respect people who have earned their keep. Probably a good compromise to this would be, to not bring back the really really old items that have been retired for decades, and to bring back the ones beyond a certain time mark. It wouldn’t erase the likelihood of scams in the trading room but it would at least help Ganz with this kind of thing since it’s something people can’t seem to agree on.
@FoxRules – I get what you are saying, but…speaking for myself, I don’t care about the “value” of each item. If I want an older retired item, I should be allowed to get it. I would rather trade in the Forum here on Webkinz Newz than in the Trading Room in Webkinz World. I think we ALL deserve to have the chance to get the older retired items that we want. If the possibility of “scams” bothers people, maybe they shouldn’t trade for items. Or, maybe scams would stop if Webkinz would just put these retired items in the WShop for KinzCash so EVERYONE would have the chance to get the items they want, without anyone getting scammed. Close the Trading Room. Let everyone just use their KC and enjoy playing in Webkinz World. No stress. No worries about scams. No disappointments for trading deals that aren’t “fair”. Besides, why does it matter that a new player wants a retired item? Why isn’t it fair for them to get the chance to get that retired item? It seems to me that most players really want access to retired items. I know I do! I’m sorry if my opinions here have upset you. It was not my intention. I just believe that ALL WEbkinz Players, both old and new, should have the right to have the chance to get the old retired items when they are available, be it by prizes in games, in gift boxes, in the WShop, etc. Thank to my Webkinz Friends I have been able to collect most of the retired Ancient Civilization Room Themes. It has taken me several years to do so. That is how Webkinz friendships work here. We trade through the Forum here, not within the game. It’s all about being kind, considerate, and fair to all players.
Heah, no. That would ruin a lot of fun for people. I see where you’re getting at, but I bond with people and meet a lot of nice new people in the trading rooms as well as on the Forums. But we can agree to disagree. :)
I would love to have more very old items also.
I would like all the items to be available at different times for all the players. I would like it if nothing ever was retired, just rotated for different events or every couple of years. We NEVER use the trading room either. Have never liked the idea of it when small children are involved as I bet a bunch of them got ripped off. I always felt that the trading room should have to have parental consent like the consent needed in the park.
I agree. Where is the really old stuff retired years ago? The Golden Troophy Case is the only new thing I like. The Scuba pieces are a repeat, but in a different color. We got them in a giftbox. They were aqua and orange last time. I do like that they used different colors, instead of repeating.
It’s great that they add some new stuff mixed with old. Remember not everyone has been playing for 19 years
This Scuba outfit was released in August 2008. The only way to get it was to go to traditional store. It was available by buying an Adult size Tshirt. I never saw it in the Hallmark stores in my area. It was retired about 15 years ago. You can see more information in the Webkinz Guide under the “feature code” category with “Kinz Costumes”. This black Scuba set is the original version. If I had a Deluxe membership, I would be spinning all four wheels every day.

Yes, you DO!!! — And the Wheel of Deluxe, the Wheel of Wishes when you make a wish. Also, you can do an extra job to earn more Kinzcash to buy Defluxe items in the W-Shop and the Kinzville Outlet!! Another thing that I look forward to on my accounts that are not Deluxe is visiting Adventure Park! Go evey day and do a quest for different prizes that are not anywhere else! Every day you get 10 new digs! EXCITED for all of these!!
Deluxe players also get to do an extra class at the Academy every day. So 4 classes instead of just 3.
You get to shop at the Kinz Style Shop, also. The clothes change every hour. So, I check back often. Love the different styles! Check it out if you’re not too busy doing everything else. LOL!
AND, you get to play ALL the games as many times as you want to!

We make a chart every day of all the daily activities for all of our 7 accounts. We cross out the activities for the non-deluxe accounts. That way we make sure that we do all of our dailies. The chart works great and has taught the children how to track tasks that need to be done even in real life.

The Scuba Outfit is a repeat, but, thankfully, in different colors. The old one came in a giftbox and was aqua and orange. It is cute in these colors, also!
This is the original scuba suit from many years ago. The aqua and orange Campkinz scuba suits are the recolored version that were created for a collection event.
Wow! I don’t ever remember seeing the old ones they have now and I have been playing since 2008. The aqua and orange, if I remember correctly, were from a fish floaty-clicky event. You got a giftbox that you opened in your room.
