It’s time for another Room Design Awards! This time around, there are 22 finalists and 10 of them will win a Room Design Trophy. Each finalist has been featured in one of my room design posts since the last time the Room Design Awards were held in May. It was extremely difficult to narrow the list down to 22, but I think that these designers are very talented and deserve recognition.
Here’s how the winners will be chosen:
- 5 winners will be decided by a vote right here on Webkinz Newz. From Friday, September 6th – Sunday September 8th (ending @ midnight, EST), players can vote for their top 3 favorite designs and the 5 designers who receive the most votes will be awarded a Room Design Trophy.
- 4 winners will be chosen by the Webkinz Newz Team. Sally, Mandy, Steve and I will each choose our favorite room design and the designers will be awarded a Room Design Trophy
- The 10th winner will be chosen by the Webkinz staff, here at Webkinz headquarters
Please take a look at each room design carefully. On Friday, September 6th, you’ll be asked to pick your top 3 favorites:
Remember, voting starts on September 6th and will end midnight, September 8th (EST). Look for the Webkinz Room Design Awards post on Webkinz Newz on the 6th and click on the link within the article to vote. I will be posting the results on Monday, September 9th.

Congrats ~dana2000! Your ‘Secluded Camp-out’ is adorable. I am extra impressed because you made it in a small room, and yet, with that wallpaper it doesn’t look so small. My family and I usually play games while we are camping too, so it was great to see the checkers. Good luck and congrats again!

Congratulations to all the finalists! Wonderful rooms all! I was really hoping my Webkinz Graduation room would make it, but there is always a chance for my next room to make it. Everyone who didn’t get picked, just keep trying. Good luck finalists!
I’m so happy to have my room chosen as a finalist!! It was so much fun building it. I always wondered where Arte’s mine existed in Webkinz world, so I built it. Every time you go gem hunting you enter where the train is just pulling out of the mine. At least, that is the way I see it. Thanks, again, Grandpascutie
Congrats on being chosen as a finalist, ~grandpascutie! I like your ‘Arte’s Gem Mine’. The wallpaper is perfect! Is that the flooring that usually goes with those walls? I know that you covered part of it with the flagstone path tile, but still, it looks so different. What is the name of the item with the cauldron hanging over the fire ring? Is it a dispenser? Is the other one the maple sugar shack? I really like the dug up treasure and that cute little cave! Can your pet go in the cave, or stand on top of the hill? Again congratulations, and good luck!
Thanks for the fine comments. In answer to your questions, the floor doesn’t look like it goes with the wallpaper but it does. The creepy cauldron dispenser gives you a food item (fiery jumbalaya).You were correct on the maple sugar shack. The mine entrance is actually a holloween item (creepy closet), and you can only go in in your imagination, sorry!! Thanks, grandpascutie

I am so surprised and honored to have my room chosen as a finalist – 1st Bank of Kinzville! I made the room in memory of my mom who worked in a bank for 30+ years. She enjoyed meeting so many different people through her job and became friends with many of her customers. She even met my dad when she worked at a bank, and they were married for 50 years! Again, thank you for this honor among so many talented designers!!

That is one busy, classy bank! I love the cute little security officer by the bank vault. And I love that all of the tellers are dressed in bank branch blue. The cow piggy bank on the counter is an adorable touch! There are so many great details! Well done, and congratulations!

Congrats ~blurayne! I love your ‘Little Boy Blue’ room! I remember when Michael Webkinz first featured it. I looked at it for a while as I said the nursery rhyme, and smiled as I noticed each detail. Great work, congrats and good luck!
