Hello Webkinz Newz readers, it’s Ella McWoof, your official “Webkinz Votes 2014” election reporter!
Dex Dangerous, one of Kinzville’s most famous residents, has joined the mayoral race and announced yesterday (Oct 17th) that he would be running for mayor of Kinzville. This has some wondering whether Dex is actually up for the job or if this is just a clever publicity stunt to try and bring him back to the spotlight. Either way you look at it, Dex’s celebrity status has certainly brought attention to this election and will no doubt encourage some young Webkinz to vote at the end of November.
After hearing this news, I headed to the Adventure Park to find out what some of the younger residents of Kinzville had to say about Dex joining the election. I spoke briefly with Sparky Fact, Curio Shop owner Arte Fact’s nephew. Sparky told me that he didn’t really have any interest in the election until Dex decided to run. “Dex Dangerous is a really cool guy and I really want him to win”, he said. “I didn’t care who was going to be mayor until he joined the race. Now I’ll be voting for sure!”
Dex has promised to feature his Arcade game “Dex Dangerous and the Lunar Lugbotz” as the Game of the Day for an entire month as well as release a Dex Dangerous Mega Fan room theme in the W-Shop if he were to be elected. Unfortunately, the Dex Dangerous room theme would be the ONLY new theme released next year if Dex were to become mayor.
Dex Dangerous is now the fourth candidate to join the mayoral race.
The actual election that will decide who will become the mayor of Kinzville will happen right here on Webkinz Newz from November 28th – 30th. Election results will be announced on Monday, Dec 1st.

From a political standpoint, Dex being an actor could work to his advantage. America does tend to both, love, and elect those whom are famous and in the spotlight. Take Ronald Regan for instance. The difference is, he never stood up and said “I promise to make my Presidential [insert mayor] duties SECOND to my acting career. In fact, in his case, politics became second to virtually nothing, and acting became nonexistent. If Dex is not willing to do this, I don’t think he would make a very good leader at all. He is way too self involved to care about Kinzvile. I mean, lets say Narfaria starts with her evil games again. All she has to do is hand him a mirror and she won. That is not the kind of leader we need. Anyway, I don’t want no new themes, and the same game of the day for a month. That sounds fun! Sure, we get a Dex themed theme, but we already have a spaceship theme, so I’m not impressed. All I can say is, Dex is no hero. He is self involved and selfish. Wow, some mayor he would make. Who agrees? I would rather see anyone but Dex become mayor. I know some of us don’t like Daisy Doe, but she still has a better attitude than this guy, you have to admit!

I agree completely, designergirl101! Wonderful points. I am not going to vote for Dex. Though I would like a Dex room, I don’t like any of his other promises, or his attitude. I think so far I will vote for Ms. Cowoline, but I’m waiting on my final desicion until I see all the speeches. What about you? Again, wonderful points! :) I agree completely.

YES DEX !!!!! Dex is a HERO SO LOVED BY ALL !!! He is a space man a role model who can handle town expences and troubles that happen in town. I f he adds items to make the town more attractive that means MORE AND NEW PRIZES for all. More kids might come to play , get pets and this site also keeps going ;) . NOT ENDING like WEBKINZ FRIENDS. AMAZING WORLD the games have gotten so hard for non-members to win. MEMBERS SOME DONT CARE HOW OFTEN THEY WIN !!!One told me it was ” the thrill of the win>” Not careing costume items can only be won in 3 special places. So a lot wont win the end of the challenge :( . Tradeing of the won items is only allowed for MEMBERS like those who win again and again. its SAD !!! SO IF DEX can help make this game better I AM ALL FOR IT !!!!

I am just going to re-post this (it would take too much work to try to write it again. I think him running for mayor is kind of….. weird….. OK A LOT WEIRD…….. yeah I think I am going to vote for Ms. Cowoline……… she has the best MOOtivations….. yeah that one is kind of cheesy……. anyways this is my report of everyone in the race so far (from one webkinz fan to another) Daisy Doe: has good intentions but is taking the wrong approach VOTE NO!! did you see the way she treated Mr. Moo she gossiped and bad talked him! and most of all she tried to put him out of WORK! if that is how she treats people who get in her way I am not voting for her…. I would get in her way…… Tabby Von Meow: Good ideas and intentions, but doesn’t have much to offer and I think we would be pulling her away from her job too much… she is one busy cat. So vote if you want to for her Ms. Cowoline. she has the best MOOtivation. she wants to give people an option!! she knows kinville VERY well and she know most all of PETS in kinzville. I agree! I think the best candidate would be Fluffington! He is the wealthiest, most generous and he could balance between Daisy & Mr. Moo. he could also assist the too busy Tabby in a financial strategy to make more jobs available. He can also help with the education. He is artistic so it would be easier for him to make more themes available! :)
Why would anyone vote for Dex?! He’s soo self-centered and if he wins we’ll only get ONE new theme for a whole year! And to top it off he’s making his game the game of the day for a month, and let me tell ya, that game is not that great. We need a change… Right Meow! For Tabby’s there is really no disadvantage. Because she will allow jobs every 4 hours, the decrease in pay won’t matter since you can do the jobs more often, therefore getting more or the same amount of pay but twice the fun!

I mean, like you said, he makes a room theme all about himself, then makes his game the game of the month. Then what? He won’t be making Kinzville different in a good, positive way. I agree. I think Dex is all about himself and only wants to win to get his face all over Kinzville. I won’t be voting for him. I want a mayor that will help out the whole town. Not just one thing.

I agree with you totally, it’s totally true about Dex Dangerous. He can’t do anything to help Webkinz. The GAME OF THE DAY FOR A WHOLE MONTH is terrible what if we don’t like it?
