“Hello friends. I’m not much for political speech-ifying, but if I could have a few moments of your time, I’d like to tell you why I’m running for Mayor of Kinzville.
Now, I think our previous mayors have done an okay job keeping Kinzville a safe and happy place. But there comes a time when okay just isn’t enough. Sometimes you need a little more excitement and adventure. If that is something you’ve been looking for, then I think I’m the candidate for you.
There’s nothing quite as exciting as finding a rare gem in the mines or collecting enough to earn a Crown of Wonder! I’ve also got all sorts of deals on WShop items in the Curio Shop, updated every hour. But the one thing everyone always asks me about is RARE items!
That’s why if you elect me as your next Mayor of Kinzville, I will be able to bring a whole new rare theme into the Curio Shop! I’ve already been searching for something new and exciting that can’t currently be found anywhere in Kinzville, and I think I’ve found a terrific ALL-NEW theme that will artistically add to your decor!

He has my vote, as a Webkinz delexe player, I want more rare items, I think her will be good.
While I like the idea of a new rare theme, I would much rather have access to rare items more frequently. I’m a deluxe player. Have been deluxe for many, many years. I’m only able to find a rare item to purchase about once per month. (If that often.) When I do finally find a rare item, I usually already have several of that particular item. Please consider more access to rare items for purchase. I also agree with everything said by slk and hlfbkdfae.

Arte’s got my vote if he can bring more RARE themes into his Curio Shop! I just hope they he will give us all a break in prices! The current inflation of prices in the real world is hard enough, we really need some lower prices in Webkinz Classic, too! Of course, as a lot of already know, I’m a supporter of having some of the Rare retired themes in the WShop, for KinzCash, not ePoints or Deluxe only! EVERY Webkinz player, from Full to Deluxe, should be able to buy these items. Even the Free players should be able to get a few item select items, too. It’s time we brought back fairness and kindness to not only the real World we all live in, but also to Webkinz World, but Classic & Next. Starting with Arte’s putting a Rare theme in the Curio Shop, is a start in the right direction! Go Team Arte! :-)

Well said!!! I am currently a free player, but have been in webkinz world for many years and have bought my children MANY webkinz over the years. It’s sad to not have access to most of the features now, particularly to add rooms or buy more things in the shops.
I completely agree! What’s crazy to me is that they delete free accounts after 6 months of inactivity. Some players have spent a lot of money on their accounts over the years.
Not sure I am voting this year, as I have gotten no plushies since the start of the campaigns, and have enough hats to dress teams. LOL (I’m not excited by the hats or signs.) If the candidate boxes didn’t contain at lease one plushy for me, I don’t see why I would vote for them. : / (Currently a free player, so can’t trade for plushies.)
The campaign videos are so well done! Love the little animations :) Also really hoping I can collect an Arte plushie!
This sounds great, Arte! But I do have a question/concern, will the new Rare theme be available for all Webkinz players or locked to full and deluxe?
I had the same question! I have been playing webkinz for many years, have sooo many pets and now am a “free” player. I’m guessing any new rare theme would NOT be available to free players. I do wish there was some sort of grandfather clause for players that have certainly paid into the game over the years to have access to more things.

I track rares and I have seen Arte have rares in the curio shop for all players. If you bump up your friendship level by buying something littel from his shop or tipping him, you will move up in the friendship levels with him and he will let you know when you ask him about rares. He holds up a sign that says the time in KT that he will have it available. It takes a little while, but it’s worth the work. Or you can check out the other Social Media platforms where they post the rares beforehand. Webkinz has [X] AKA Twitter, Facebook and Instagram accounts and they are really good about posting stuff on [X] for certain. Plus they give us head’s up about new things coming in, reminders about finishing challenges and they have been known to host giveaways.
All mayoral campaigns so far have never been paywalled, so it would be for everyone to collect. I think that all current themes in the Curio Shop are for all players. The only real difference is that Deluxe members get extra hours of being able to buy rares.
@foxesrule612, I may be misunderstanding you; but no. If you have always played webkinz as a deluxe player, you may be unaware just how restricted full and esp. free players, are. Free players cannot play most games; are restricted from most daily activities; get no coupons; are not allowed access to most of the clothes in P.J.’s clothing shop; can not buy most room themes in the W – shop. Free players cannot purchase most regular items, and certainly not rare items at Arte’s. Full players saw so many items taken way from them, years ago and made only deluxe. Clothing we all had access to; I think the adventure park. I’m not sure about that, since I have not tried that in a long time. It used to only require the purchase of an adventure park pet. All players could play all games. All players could purchase all the room items. That really hurt, because so many of us were left with unfinished rooms ( even till now ) . I dont begrudge deluxe players anything they pay for, that full players never had. That is wonderful for them and I’m glad they can enjoy the privilege. The fact that some players, some of them supporting webkinz from Day 1, and many almost that long simply had things taken away, and the deluxe players did not receive those as extra; they simply kept them. Deluxe players who want more for deluxe, blithely ignoring the rest of the many full and free players that make up webkinz world, are playing in the spirit of what use to be a sweet, friendly game. As another player said; lets return to the kindness of the way we use to be. Webkinz can be a restful pass-time, and after all, it IS just a game.

I agree with you, kingvicktor! I remember when Webkinz took away “Full Player” items and suddenly making them “Deluxe Only”. I thought that was an awful thing to do to all players. Yes, we ALL use to be able to go to Vacation Island. I think the only thing Full players couldn’t do was to go to the Spa. ALL games were for ALL players. Several of my favorite games at the time suddenly became Deluxe Only, as did many of the room and clothing items. Some of the things that became Deluxe made no sense. Some items in the Room Themes were suddenly Deluxe, like a chair, a table, a fridge or stove. Items that you would actually NEED when making a room! Items became more expensive (KinzCash and ePoints). The one really good thing they did was to allow our gardens to grow without having to water and harvest them at a certain time. This is NOT real world, so plants should NOT “wilt and parish”. I do miss my old corn stalks that I used to make a wonderful Halloween Corn Field Maze. Imagine my shock when one day that room was full of brown dried corn stalks and after the next update, my corn was all GREEN! I was NOT a happy camper! Ruined my entire room theme! I realize there are things in WW that can not be done any more, or fixed, because of Adobe Flash being removed (why couldn’t the computer gurus fix it?). I get that we have many items that we still get as prizes that no longer work. Just don’t understand why they still give up those items? Most of them you can’t trade/send/sell, so you’re stuck with them. Anyway, in a perfect World, there would be a way to make things better for “Free” members, “Full” members, and “Deluxe” members. The REAL world may not be able to make life better, but I think WEBKINZ WORLD should be able to do better for ALL Webkinz World. This is our tiny escape from the stresses of the real world. You have a very loyal fan base. Most of us are Full or Deluxe Members, and often struggle to make that privilege happen. If you must pick a Webkinz area to improve on, I ask you to please make it better, and more fair, as much as you can, for Free Members. If a Free member becomes discouraged, they will not continue to play. Make them want to stay and, hopefully when possible, become Full Members. We are Family here. :-)
