Ella McWoof here! With your help, I’ve sniffed out some important information about the X-citing new project, Webkinz X!
Now, in my EXCLUSIVE SCOOP, here’s more information straight from the TOP SECRET documents!
Along with a new look and a new way to play, like the Pet Care Heart, Family Score, or Pet Requests, Webkinz X will include a new way to move around the site!
We are updating the Things To Do menu with a whole new look!
Like before, you’ll find the Things To Do Menu anywhere you travel on Webkinz.com. But now instead of a tab over your Dock, it will look like a map in the bottom right corner of your screen.
We’ve also included 3 shortcut buttons for the most popular places to visit: My House, the Arcade, and the WShop!
Opening up the new Things To Do menu will bring up a grid of options. Along the top row, you’ll find most of the key areas in Kinzville. Under each of these in the same column you’ll find other locations sharing a similar theme (like finding all of the shops in Kinzville in one column)!
As you can see, you can also still visit your Map of Kinzville, which you can decorate and customize to make a Kinzville all your own!

I think that they’re trying to gear webkinz to younger kids now, but I don’t like it very much……….
Ok, this is really looking AMAZING and I cant wait for when it actually goes into effect! But, I have one suggestion/question. Hey Gennelle, along with all these great new features, is there going to be a new house map? Also, will there be a way for us to move our rooms around in our house map, and sell rooms? This would be really helpful, thanks. :)

When do these come into effect? It’ll take a lot of getting use to!
has anyone else noticed that the adoption center is spelled wrong in the pic. Ganz, can you fix this before webkinzX appears. THAT would get annoying after a while
Well, since you keep ASKING us to tell you what we think before we know what we’re talking about, here goes… I agree with the statement that the site is being re-vamped to appeal to a very young audience; however, this does not make it good, better, or a even good thing for anyone. Only time will tell if this is a step forward for Webkinz or if it will mean THE END OF WEBKINZ. This is not a negative comment, so please do not disregard my eXtremely valid point. It is NOT the five-year-olds who keep Webkinz going and we all know it. Their pockets are only as deep as they can convince their parents to spend. GANZ should be thankful for the dedicated players who have spent tens of thousands of dollars to continue the site. So, that being said, just do it already–you are going to anyway, so do and see what happens.

Don’t know why they have Mazing Hamsters on there, it hasn’t worked in months and has had no upgrades in a long time!
Also, I would LOVE it if you made it so it would load faster (and not be so laggy) on older computers. That would be very helpful!
Gonna take some getting used to since I’ve been used to the original interface for about 8 years now. Hope it works out okay. Looks pretty neat.
