Roberta’s Baby…?
This has got to be the greatest moment of my life! I just left the hospital after meeting my brand new baby brother! I’m kind of shocked. I really thought it was going to be a girl, but it is a tiny perfect boy bunny named Reid. He is absolutely the most precious thing I have ever seen! My mom is doing fine, other than being really, really tired. When I got to the hospital they were both sleeping in the bed. I didn’t want to wake them but then Reid opened his little eyes and looked right at me! It was almost as if he knew I was his sister. When he started to fuss a bit, my mom woke up and she was so happy to see me. She asked if I wanted to give Reid his bottle. Um… YES! He is so tiny and delicate. I held him and when I put the bottle in his mouth he stared into my eyes as he fed. His puffy little cheeks went in and out as he sucked. Oh, he really is the most perfect thing! I have a baby brother! I have a baby brother!
Ella Interviews Fred Rover
Ella McWoof: Today I have the pleasure of interviewing your favorite events-caster and mine, Fred Rover! Due to popular demand, we’re here to learn more about Fred! Fred Rover: I’m delighted to be here, Ella. Just delighted. EM: Wonderful! Well, Fred, as you may have heard, the fans wanted to know all about you. FR: I’m hardly surprised, Ella. I’m a very interesting individual, if I do say so myself. And I do! EM: So Fred, we know you’re the events-caster at the Webkinz Stadium. What’s the best part and the worst part of your job? FR: The worst part (for me, anyway) is when events drag on for a long time. I have to wait to start talking again. Sometimes waiting is downright painful! The best part? Watching myself in reruns, of course! EM: What made you interested in being an events-caster? FR: Well, when I was a young pup, I had trouble with losing. I wanted to win EVERY event or sport I entered. I realized, though, that winning isn’t everything. It’s important just to play for the fun of it. I decided to take that message and share it … Read more
Roberta’s Mom goes to Hospital!
Oh. Wow. Okay, this is big – really big! This morning I was helping my mom do the breakfast dishes when suddenly she made a funny little squeal and put her hand on her tummy. I asked if she was okay and she just told me to go get my dad. I ran to get him and when I came back she said “Robert, I think it’s time.” It’s time! It’s time!!! My mom already had her suitcase packed so I ran upstairs and got it while my dad helped my mother out to the car. Luckily Cowabelle’s house is on the way to the hospital so my dad called Ms. Cowoline to let her know what was happening and they dropped me off on the way. My mom didn’t say too much – she just kept making these weird breathing noises. Now they’re gone. I feel sad that they are gone but really excited too. I know my whole life is about to be turned upside down!
Postcard from the Tour Bus
Hey Hail! Ugh! Life on the tour bus isn’t exactly what I had imagined. Remember I told you about that amazing chef we had travelling with us who will make me whatever I want? Well, it’s not much good having your own personal chef when you just feel nauseous the whole time. Remember when we were younger and we used to go on car trips with Mom and Dad and I always felt carsick? Apparently nothing’s changed much since then. I spend the whole time we’re travelling either sitting by an open window trying to get fresh air or lying on my bunk trying to sleep. Last night after our practice (which went pretty well aside from the fact that singing and dancing doesn’t exactly help my queasiness) Dacey stopped by my dressing room to wish me luck on the tour. I guess I was looking pretty green because she asked what was wrong. When I told her she offered me this bracelet that is supposed to help with motion sickness. She says that she uses them all the time because she has to travel around so much for work. I don’t know if it will help but at this … Read more

Ella interview 1: Ms. Cowoline
Ella McWoof: All the pupils at Kinzville Academy just love their principal, Ms. Cowoline. I’m here with Ms. Cowoline to learn more about her love of education, her role in the Kinzville community and her home life with her charming daughter, Cowabelle. Ms. Cowoline: Why, thank you, Ella! When you put it like that you make me sound so grand! I’m just a simple teacher in a small town. Ella: No, Ms. Cowoline, you are certainly more than that! You are the heart of one of the most beloved institutions in Kinzville. Can you tell us how you got your start teaching? Ms. Cowoline: Well, Ella, I came from a very large family, and being the oldest child I just seemed to gravitate naturally toward instructing my younger siblings. Whether it was teaching them to tie their shoes, ride a bike or make a sandwich, I truly enjoyed guidance and felt such a feeling of accomplishment when I saw them grasp a new concept. Ella McWoof: Is there any aspect of teaching you DON’T enjoy? Ms. Cowoline: To be honest – and I’m sure the children will disagree with me on this one – my least favorite part of teaching … Read more

Nibbles’ Real Friends
Hey. I’ve kind of been keeping a low profile since I realized that Molly was right about Purr-Cilla using me for my pool. I mean, I just felt so stupid and I didn’t want Molly to say ‘I told you so’. My mom keeps asking what’s wrong because I told her just to tell my friends I’m not home. It’s just that I don’t want to invite Purr-Cilla and her friends in when they show up (which they do regularly, hoping to go for a swim) and I’m too embarrassed to see my other friends. But today my mom said enough was enough and that Molly had called on me several times and I was going to call her back. I took a deep breath and called her and you know what? She was awesome. She didn’t even mention Purr-Cilla. She just wanted to fill me in on her latest babysitting assignment. Apparently it went a lot better than the last time when Millie ran away. Finally I couldn’t stand it any more and told her how I overheard Purr-Cilla talking about me to her friends. She was so nice about it. She didn’t say ‘I told you so’ at … Read more
Stoogles Summer – Not So Bad
Wow! Turns out having a broken flipper isn’t that bad after all! After a couple of weeks stuck at home with my grandpa, my family surprised me with the coolest thing ever – they rigged up this wagon so I can travel around with them! It’s been great. We went to the Amusement Park yesterday and I even got to ride on some of the rides! My dad lifted me from the wagon into the roller coaster cart! It was awesome! You know the weirdest thing though? When my family showed up with the wagon, the first thing my grandpa said was “Well, thank goodness for that! Nothing personal, Stoogles, but I was getting kind of bored, being cooped up here with you all the time. I can’t wait to get to that Amusement Park and try the Super Deluxe Rollercoaster!” Seriously???

Science Camp Experiment: Slime
Dear Sparky How is your summer going? I hope that working in the Curio Shop hasn’t been too tough. I know you weren’t really looking forward to it. Science camp has been absolutely AMAZING!!! Alex and I are having so much fun and we have made some new friends too! We have been doing so many cool experiments here. Just yesterday we made this really weird ‘slime’ stuff. It’s really easy so I thought I’d share it with you and maybe that would give you something fun to do when you’re not working. What you need: – 1/4 cup water – 1/4 cup white glue – 1/4 cup liquid starch (you can find it with the laundry detergents in the supermarket) – Food coloring – an adult assistant, like your Uncle Arte What you do: Mix the water and glue in a large bowl and add food coloring until you get it just the shade you like. Slowly stir in the liquid starch until you get a gooey slime. You can store it in a sealed plastic bag when you’re not playing with it (but it is awesome to play with!) I hope you … Read more
Sparky’s Job
Hey, it’s me, Sparky! I just got back from another day helping out my Uncle in the Curio Shop. You know, at the beginning of the summer, I was really down on the idea of working in Uncle Sparky’s shop two days a week. I mean, summer’s all about having fun, right? But guess what? Two days a week isn’t that hard at all! I still had tons of time to hang out with my friends (there were even a few days when I was bored, with nothing to do.) I’ve been visiting a lot with Stoogles because he broke his flipper, and swimming in Nibbles’ new pool with Roberta and Molly. I’ve actually had a really great summer so far. But you know the very best part? I made a LOAD of KinzCash! Working two days a week really adds up. I’m just not sure what I should do with it all. There are some really cool things in the Curio Shop I’ve had my eye on. I could also really use a new skateboard, but Roberta says I should save the money. What do you think?
