Reid Rabbit: how is he doing?

I love being a big sister! My new baby brother is adorable! It’s really, really fun except when he cries. But when he does cry that’s okay too, because it just means that he needs something. Like a diaper change, or a feed, or he has gas and he needs to be burped. My mom taught me a trick when he needs to be burped. She showed me that you sit down and place him across your lap and then you stroke up his back. When his tummy presses against my lap, that makes him burp! My dad always says that he likes to do it the old fashioned way and holds Reid up to his shoulder and pats him on the back. But the other morning, my dad was all ready to go to work and was wearing his best suit when he decided to burp Reid ‘the old fashioned way’, but when Reid finally did burp, he spit up all over the shoulder of my dad’s best suit! It was really gross! I think I’ll stick to my mom’s way.

This is your chance to win cool prizes by playing some Wacky games and watching for Wacky Zingoz floating through Webkinz World. During the Celebration you can win exclusive prizes by playing Wacky Zingoz and WackyER Zingoz, but there are loads of other fun Zingoz games to enjoy as well! Here’s a quick primer on some of the awesome Zingoz-themed games you can play all year round by visiting the Arcade in Kinzville.               Wacky Zingoz Wacky just loves playing with his friend, Zangoz – even when it involves being whacked halfway across Webkinz World! Wacky Zingoz is a challenge for your hand/eye coordination. Playing the role of Zangoz, you click to toss Wacky into the air and then try to click at just the right moment as he comes down in order to whack him with your wooden club and send him sailing across a grassy field. Each whack takes him further down the field and your distance is measured with a marker each time. Your third whack is your last chance to send Wacky as far as you … Read more

Ella Interviews Sheldon

Sheldon

Ella McWoof: Today I’m joined by everyone’s favorite souvenir-selling turtle, Sheldon! Sheldon: What’s up, Ella McW? EM: Not too much, Sheldon! What’s up with you? S: Dude, it’s been a wild couple of weeks for your old pal Shelly! I’ve been practicing hard for this radical surfing competition I’m going to enter. First prize is one hundred KinzCash and a trip to South Webkinz World. Sun, surf, sand – it’s what I like best! EM: Well, that’s good because you’re usually working at the Souvenir Stand on the Vacation Island, right? S: Right on, Ella M! And I love working there. EM: What’s your favorite part about work? S: Ooh, great question little buddy! The most awesome part is meeting all kinds of cool new friends. They go totally bananas for my souvenirs – and they love telling me stories of their vacations. EM: Can you tell us about a typical day in the life of Sheldon? S: Totes, Ella! Riding waves, catching some rays, selling some souvenirs – and having me a siesta. That’s the day of Shelly-T! EM: What made you want to work at a souvenir stand? S: It’s … Read more

Elwin’s Second Concert

Okay, Hailey. Thought I’d take a quick moment to drop you a line because right now I am FREAKING OUT! It’s my second concert and I’m waiting backstage right now. This is a much bigger venue than my first concert, and it’s completely sold out. There are so many fans out there – I don’t know if I can do this! I mean – remember how I forgot some of the words when I saw the crowd the other night? Well, how am I going to remember a single thing tonight? What was I thinking, Hailey? I’m just a simple designer from Kinzville who auditioned for a TV show on a lark. I didn’t sign on for this craziness! I am WAY out of my depth here! I better go. Here comes Dacey. Maybe she can give me some advice about stage fright. Oh, Hailey. Wish me luck. I’m really gonna need it!

Ella interviews Debbie Dragon

Ella McWoof: Well, readers, we listened to you and today we are bringing you another interview requested by you. Everyone in Kinzville who enjoys traveling knows the subject of today’s interview. Debbie Dragon has been sending residents of Kinzville to exotic locales for years. Today we’re going to find out more about Debbie’s travels as well as her other passions. Debbie Dragon: Hi Ella! I just want to say that I am so honored that your readers wanted to hear more about me! EM: I think what we all really want to know is how your passion for travel began. DD: You know, I have always been an avid reader, ever since I was a kid. And some of my favorite stories are those that involve adventures in far off locations. As a young woman I was thrilled to read about some of Arte Fact’s exciting feats and that spurred me to travel myself. EM: Can you tell us about some of those early travels? DD: Well, not many in Webkinz World know this, but one of my very first jobs was working as a deckhand on Captain Patches’ ship. EM: No! DD: Yes, … Read more

Elwin’s First Concert

Dear Hailey, Wow, am I ever beat! Last night was my very first concert and it was beyond my wildest dreams! I can’t believe all those fans turned out just to see me! While Dacey Bryn was out front introducing me my heart was pounding so loudly I was sure the crowd would be able to hear it from backstage. There was only one tiny glitch. I did forget some of the words during my first song. I just looked out into this sea of faces and I was so freaked out for a moment I lost my place! But it was okay because my back-up singers just jumped in and covered for me. I don’t think anyone even noticed. But now I am exhausted! In fact, I’m so tired it’s almost enough to make me forget about my motion sickness. Almost – but not quite. Later! Love, El

Science Camp Experiment: Invisible Ink

Dear Mom, You know what’s weird about the counselors here? They encourage us to pass secret notes during lab!  It’s not like we’re sneaking around though. It’s part of an experiment. We made invisible ink this week and we have been sending each other secret messages ever since! Sometimes the counselors even send us messages too! It’s really easy making invisible ink. Here’s how you do it: What you need: -          2 tablespoons lemon juice -          ½ teaspoon water -          Q tip -          Paper -          Lamp -          An adult assistant What you do: Mix the lemon juice and the water in a small cup. Dip the Q tip into the lemon mixture and use it to write your message on the paper. Let the lemon juice dry and the message should disappear. In order to read your message, have an adult assistant help you hold it close to a light bulb, until the heat from the light bulb turns the lemon juice brown. Remember these instructions, mom, because the next letter you get from me might LOOK blank, but hold it up to a light and you’ll get a surprise! Miss you! Love Alex

Roberta’s Baby…?

This has got to be the greatest moment of my life! I just left the hospital after meeting my brand new baby brother! I’m kind of shocked. I really thought it was going to be a girl, but it is a tiny perfect boy bunny named Reid. He is absolutely the most precious thing I have ever seen! My mom is doing fine, other than being really, really tired. When I got to the hospital they were both sleeping in the bed. I didn’t want to wake them but then Reid opened his little eyes and looked right at me! It was almost as if he knew I was his sister. When he started to fuss a bit, my mom woke up and she was so happy to see me. She asked if I wanted to give Reid his bottle. Um… YES! He is so tiny and delicate. I held him and when I put the bottle in his mouth he stared into my eyes as he fed. His puffy little cheeks went in and out as he sucked. Oh, he really is the most perfect thing! I have a baby brother! I have a baby brother!

Ella Interviews Fred Rover

Ella McWoof: Today I have the pleasure of interviewing your favorite events-caster and mine, Fred Rover! Due to popular demand, we’re here to learn more about Fred! Fred Rover: I’m delighted to be here, Ella. Just delighted. EM: Wonderful! Well, Fred, as you may have heard, the fans wanted to know all about you. FR: I’m hardly surprised, Ella. I’m a very interesting individual, if I do say so myself. And I do! EM: So Fred, we know you’re the events-caster at the Webkinz Stadium. What’s the best part and the worst part of your job? FR: The worst part (for me, anyway) is when events drag on for a long time. I have to wait to start talking again. Sometimes waiting is downright painful! The best part? Watching myself in reruns, of course! EM: What made you interested in being an events-caster? FR: Well, when I was a young pup, I had trouble with losing. I wanted to win EVERY event or sport I entered. I realized, though, that winning isn’t everything. It’s important just to play for the fun of it. I decided to take that message and share it … Read more

Roberta’s Mom goes to Hospital!

Oh. Wow. Okay, this is big – really big! This morning I was helping my mom do the breakfast dishes when suddenly she made a funny little squeal and put her hand on her tummy. I asked if she was okay and she just told me to go get my dad. I ran to get him and when I came back she said “Robert, I think it’s time.” It’s time! It’s time!!! My mom already had her suitcase packed so I ran upstairs and got it while my dad helped my mother out to the car. Luckily Cowabelle’s house is on the way to the hospital so my dad called Ms. Cowoline to let her know what was happening and they dropped me off on the way. My mom didn’t say too much – she just kept making these weird breathing noises. Now they’re gone. I feel sad that they are gone but really excited too. I know my whole life is about to be turned upside down!

Postcard from the Tour Bus

Hey Hail! Ugh! Life on the tour bus isn’t exactly what I had imagined. Remember I told you about that amazing chef we had travelling with us who will make me whatever I want? Well, it’s not much good having your own personal chef when you just feel nauseous the whole time. Remember when we were younger and we used to go on car trips with Mom and Dad and I always felt carsick? Apparently nothing’s changed much since then. I spend the whole time we’re travelling either sitting by an open window trying to get fresh air or lying on my bunk trying to sleep. Last night after our practice (which went pretty well aside from the fact that singing and dancing doesn’t exactly help my queasiness) Dacey stopped by my dressing room to wish me luck on the tour. I guess I was looking pretty green because she asked what was wrong. When I told her she offered me this bracelet that is supposed to help with motion sickness. She says that she uses them all the time because she has to travel around so much for work.  I don’t know if it will help but at this … Read more
