Nibbles Catches a Cold
Ugggggh! It’s me, Nibbles. Or should I say ‘Sniffles?’ The other day on my way home, it started pouring down with rain and I had left my jacket in my locker at school. I got soaked! As soon as I got home, Plumpy ran me a hot bath and I got out of my wet clothes, but when I woke up the next morning I was all stuffed up. Now I’m lying in bed, eating chicken soup, and going through about a million tissues a day. I feel awful. My head hurts and my nose is running like a faucet. It wouldn’t be so bad, but Molly’s Pink Party is in two days! What if I’m not better by then? I told Plumpy that I was going to the party no matter what, but she said that if I’m still sick, that wouldn’t be fair to everyone else because I could pass my germs onto them. I guess she has a point, but – IT’S NOT FAIR! Oh, I really hope I’m feeling better by then. Plumpy said all I can do is drink lots of fluids and get plenty of rest. I’ve gotta go. I think I’ll … Read more
Pink Balloon Tree
This is an easy way to dress up your surroundings when you’re throwing a Pink Party. What you need: -         A large planter -         Gravel or sand -         A long straight stick or wooden broom handle -         Silver or pink spray paint (optional) -         About 6 pink and white balloons (3 of each), blown up and tied -         Pink or white ribbon What you do: 1. If using spray paint, paint planter and stick and let dry. (Get an adult assistant to help with this). 2. Pour sand or gravel into planter and insert stick so it stands up straight. 3. Tie long bits of ribbon onto the base of each balloon and tie all balloons together into one large bunch. 4. With a ribbon, affix the bunch of balloons to the top of the stick. Voila! Ask Persephone Poodle just how fab this trick is – she uses it all the time!
Surprise Pink Crackers
What you need: Scissors, paper towel tube (one tube makes two crackers), pink tissue paper, pink ribbon, pink stickers, pink glitter, clear tape, toys or prizes for the inside of your cracker – you can also write out fortunes and make cards to go in there.  What you do: Cut the paper towel tube in half. Put your toy, card, or little gifts inside the tube. Put a piece of tissue paper down and put your tube in the center. There should be lots of paper all around your tube. Move the tube to the bottom edge of the tissue paper. Secure one edge to the tube with a small piece of tape. Roll the tube up in the rest of the tissue paper. Tie both ends with pieces of ribbon. Decorate the covered tube with stickers, glitter and anything else you like! Give out the crackers to your friends and see how much fun they have opening them!

Pink Party Prep
Hey everyone! It’s Salley here. I’m writing today because Molly is SOOOO busy! You would not believe how much work that girl is doing to make this party a success. She’s been helping EVERYONE make decisions, buy stuff, and decorate. Which brings me to what we did today: we assisted Fluffinton in making his ballroom beautiful! The ‘Kinz (and about twenty other volunteers) moved tables, arranged chairs, hung streamers and banners, and made sure Fluffington’s house was spotless! I think that in terms of décor, the only thing we have left to do is blow up balloons –which we won’t do until right before the party. I’m getting SO excited – this is going to be amazing!
A Leafy Afternoon
Sparky here, dudes! We had an epic afternoon at school! We got to spend the whole afternoon outdoors. Ms. Cowoline gave us a challenge. We had to go out and find as many different types of leaves in as many different colors as we could. When we came back we would have a competition to see who found the widest variety of leaves, who found the biggest leaf, who found the brightest red, etc., etc. – you get the idea, right? So I went exploring in Kinzville Park. I was determined the win with the biggest leaf. I searched and searched and searched. There was one leaf that was bigger than my hand. That WAS pretty big, but not big enough. Then I found one as big as my foot! Big – but I was sure I could do better. Just as I heard Ms. Cowoline blow her whistle letting us know it was time to line up back at the school, I saw the most gigantic golden maple leaf I had ever seen, hanging from a high branch. I had to have it. I jumped up trying to reach it, but it was just too high. Then I … Read more
