Salley Cat: Happy to be Home

Dear Journal, I am so happy to be home. I had a GREAT time at camp, don’t get me wrong, but I’m really glad to be sleeping in my own bed again. And the best part? I’ve got all of August to do whatever I want! Sweet, sweet freedom! For a whole month! No classes, no homework, no schedules – just the ‘Kinz, outside playing and having fun. It’s weird though ’cause it’s kind of quiet ’round Kinzville. Almost as soon as we got back from camp Laurabeard, Booger and Polly all took off straight away on vacations. Sounds like fun. I wonder where they’re going. Oh well, at least I’ve still got the crew to hang out with this summer. I wonder what kind of adventures we’ll get up to ’round here. – Salley

Ella Writes: Secret Friend Event

Every year at camp, we have a special Secret Friend event. It’s so much fun!   Everyone draws a name from the hat at breakfast and that’s the individual they have to be kind to for the next three days. You have to do little things to help out your Secret Friend (like cleaning their cabin or clearing their plate at dinner) and give them little gifts (like something you make at the Craft Cabin) while not being discovered! That’s the tricky part! Usually, you can enlist friends to do the sneaky work, so your Secret Friend won’t guess your identity!   So who do I get to help for the next three days? Well, I can’t tell you! But I CAN give you a hint: this ‘Kinz would be familiar with stage directions. Think you can guess who I’ve got to do nice things for? Put your guesses below!
