Choose Your Own Story – Booger Carries On

Fluffington looked so upset Booger couldn’t help himself. He had to find out what was wrong. He approached the St Bernard and gently put a hand on his shoulder. Fluffington jumped at the touch.

“Oh hello, Booger.” He sniveled.

“Fluffington, what’s wrong?” asked Booger.

Fluffington shuddered sadly. “Oh Booger – I’ve suffered a terrible loss! I was driving happily down the street earlier, thinking about how I might spend a large amount of KinzCash I’ve recently come into. I guess I wasn’t paying attention because my car hit the curb and one of my priceless hubcaps went flying off – and I haven’t been able to find it since!”

“A hubcap?” asked Booger.

“Not just any hubcap – a jewel-encrusted hubcap that is worth countless amounts of KinzCash.” replied Fluffington miserably.

Booger looked at the car. One tire was bare where the hubcap had fallen off, but when he looked at the other tires, he made a startling discovery. There, on Fluffington’s car, were three silver disks identical to the one he had found in his garden. And when he looked very closely at the colored markings on the disks, he realized that they were made up of dozens of brightly-hued gems.

Booger realized that the hubcap must have sailed through the air and landed in his backyard around the corner. He opened his mouth to tell Fluffington that he knew exactly where the missing hubcap was, when something inside Booger stopped him. Booger started thinking that with the jewels on the missing hubcap, he would have enough money to build an amazing rocket. And it WAS finders keepers, wasn’t it? Once the hubcap left Fluffington’s car and landed in his yard, didn’t it become his property? Booger hesitated. He knew he should return the missing hubcap, but didn’t Fluffington have enough KinzCash already?
