Alex’s Secret Santa

Hey everyone. I have a question for you: what would you do if you had a friend that you really, really liked and you wanted to get her something special for Christmas, but you didn’t want her to know that you really, really liked her? Someone I know is having that exact problem. He’s trying to figure out a nice (but not too over-the-top) present to get for a girl that he thinks is really awesome. My friend is super shy, so he isn’t sure how to tell the girl he likes how special he thinks she is.

OK fine. So the friend is me. It’s me. And I’m trying to figure out what to get for Molly. I think she’s so wonderful –she’s so smart and funny and pretty. I thought maybe I’d get her a hair clip, or some kind of pen…but those ideas sound pretty boring, right? Should I write her a poem? Maybe get her a box of chocolates? Forget the whole thing and just give her a candy cane?

I need help, friends. What should I do?

It’s nice on how you want to get Molly something for Christmas, Alex. Maybe you could get her a pretty pen and a notebook in her favorite color. If you want, you could even write a short poem on a small piece of paper and slip it into the notebook. Another idea is to make her favorite Christmas treat, put it in a box along with a book or hair clips, rap it up and attach a hand-made card to the box.
    Hope these help! :)

I think a nice gift to give to Molly pig would be a scrapbook. If she got a scrap book then she could put pictures of her family and friends in it. I think she would really enjoy it. I am sure whatever you decided to give her she will like it. It is the thought that counts not the gift. :)

OK so I think that if u evesdrop on her to find out what she wants, and then get her that gift it will be SO much easier!!

OK, OK, I got it! Since she is smart get her a really good book. Since she is funny get her a funny game like a game where you have to fit in words in blank spots in a story. Lastly, since she is pretty, get her some hair clips, ponytails, or headbands. Wrap them together and there you have it!!

If you want, you could wait until Valentines Day!!! LOL

Hmm… Let me think for a second… Yeah first I would ask her what she likes but try not to get all excited about it and don’t act weird. Otherwise she’ll get suspicious. Then go home write everything down on a list and get some or all of the stuff she asks for. Or make something homemade like a poem you said or get her some beautiful smelling flowers! OR!!!! Make her a gift basket! It’s up to you though.

Alex, that’s so cool that you want to give Molly something because you think she’s awesome. I can guarantee as a girl myself that I would love any of the presents you mentioned. If she wears hairclips, then that’s a super idea. If she loves to write, definitely go with the pen. You can figure out what she likes to do because you’re her friend and you see her around Kinzville all the time. Trust your own instincts. She’ll love it.

Number one advice, just be yourself, if they really truly like you, then they need to like the real you, number two, get her something that shows thoughtfulness. Flowers are nice, but they don’t last forever, eventually they die. Give her something that will be useful, yet sweet. Like a little notebook and pen set. Hair clips, favorite music cds, a movie, and another thing is, if you like it, chance is that she will too!

      • sarahandlacey says:

Mabe her name would be nice on a hat, or a sweater. You could ask your mom to sow it on.

I read this, and I said: AWWWWWWW! Anyway, I think it would be so sweet if someone wrote me a poem, and backed something hamemade, like cookies. That would be so sweet, and even if I dodn’t like them back, I would appreciate the thought, love, and care they put into it. Thansk for reading!

That’s so sweet of you Alex! I’d just get her something simple like nail polish or some hair accessory, but then if you wanted to, you could write her a note or a poem.

Totally Alex, something small, maybe in her favourite colour and try to make the wrapping extra special. I think the note or poem is a great idea, maybe do an acrostic poem for her name. for example
