Booger’s Veggie Experiment

Hey – it’s me, Booger again. Okay, so I know that I tried that broccoli the other day and it wasn’t bad with the cheese sauce on it. But now Goober has been bugging me to try more vegetables and I just know that they’re going to be totally gross. So Goober had the idea that I could approach it like a science experiment. So I’m going to measure my response to various samples in order to prove my hypothesis that all vegetables are disgusting.

HYPOTHESIS: Vegetables are gross. Period. (except broccoli with cheese sauce on it)

MATERIALS: raw carrot sticks; celery sticks; sliced cucumber; broccoli and cauliflower stalks; sliced red peppers; onion dip.

METHODS:

1.       Dip each vegetable into onion dip and taste.

2.       IF subject survives step one, taste each vegetable WITHOUT onion dip.

DATA: Track response to each vegetable on a scale of one to five with one being ‘revolting’ and five being ‘delicious’.

RESULTS: With dip, subject responded positively to over 64% of sampled vegetables, while 16% of vegetables were found to be ‘not bad’ and only 16% scored in the negative columns. Without dip, results decreased slightly with half of the samples falling into the ‘not bad’ or ‘pretty good’ column, while one sample slipped down into the revolting category.

ANALYSIS:
Based on the accumulated data, the subject had an overall positive response to vegetables, but thought cauliflower was gross.

CONCLUSION: Subject finds vegetables mostly enjoyable, with the exception of cauliflower. The addition of dip or sauce increases subject’s enjoyment of vegetables. Therefore, my hypothesis that all vegetables are gross has proven inaccurate.* Subject should continue to experiment with introducing vegetables into their diet on a trial and error basis, and experiment with varying flavors of dips and sauces, measuring the effects of such condiments on their taste buds.

*note: cauliflower really is gross.

I love all the veggies, but without the dips.

I don’t like cauliflower too! I don’t like celery though. It tastes to peppery. I like cherry tomatoes though! Except those are fruits. Hey, do you like corn? Corn rocks! I like having spinach on my pizza. Spinich and mushrooms! Yum! My mom makes crepes with chicken and mushrooms and spinich and cheese in them. They taste good! Oh, and my mom made spagetti pie for dinner today, and it has green peppers in it. Also, try tofu. I like it, but some people don’t. It’s kind of salty. Try pomegranite. I know it’s a fruit, but it tastes SO GOOD!!! It is really sour, but only the seeds are sour.

Conslusion: I hate all veggies (i do, corn is okay, but i hardly ever eat it, NEVER had it on the cob, most veggies i’ve never had, i’ve had carrot sticks revolting, cauliflower, revolting, broccolie, REVOLTING, cheese sauce makes worse, other item subjuct has not had) i do like crickle cut carrots are good, baked carrots in this stew i have are okay (celery is taken out of subjects meal an dis given to subjects mother) that’s mine :D

    • Veggies! says:

I love all those veggies. My chart would be all delicious except Peppers would be not bad. And since I don’t like onion dip, the dip would ruin the veggies for me. Actually I am the kind of person who only like my veggies plain with nothing on them. Hahaha :)
