Oh, hi! It’s me, Roberta. Sorry I haven’t checked in lately but, well, this big sister thing hasn’t exactly been going according to plan. Reid has been really colicky lately. That means that he’s fussy and crying all the time because he probably has a sore tummy. Dr. Quack says it’s fairly normal. I do feel sorry for the little guy, but seriously – I don’t know how much more of this I can take! He never seems to stop!
And I don’t even have it the worst. My mom and dad said I could sleep downstairs in my craft room if I wanted so that I wouldn’t have to listen to Reid cry at night, but they don’t have that option. They’re both like zombies, wandering around in a daze, with big dark circles under their eyes. My mom said it’s not really that bad, that it’s just a phase and Reid will get over it soon enough, but I have to say – this is not how I imagined it would be to have a baby around. I thought it would be all cuteness and cuddles, not screaming and crying all the time.
And just between you and me – the bigger a baby gets, the bigger the mess in his diaper gets, if you know what I mean. And that’s just gross.
Ganz, can you please make more Signature dogs, cats, and horses?! You never made a Sig. Horse before and I am surprised!
Roberta sorry to here about reid but babies are hard work. One thing you can do for your mom and dad is make them a nice breakfast sometime parents need a little help to.
Tell me about it roberta i am one out of a lot of kids in my house my mom and dad have a hard time with it as well. I saw some of my brothers and sisters when they were babies and i had to help out as well
Very obsrvant roberta. Don’t worry, most kids are like that. Believe me, I grabbed the baby sitting job because it was the only jobi qualify for, not realizing how hard it can be to take care of baby quadruplets.:) he will eventually get over the colic but by then, he will likly be a curious little toddler that gets into your stuff.
OK 1ST OF ALL. get your Mom to go to the Pharmacy. There are drops that get rid of the gas bubbles . A few drops in his milk . He feels better and so will the rest of you!!! 2D get ear plugs for everyone in the house. OK SEEMS WEIRD but Dad has to work this way he gets a good night sleep. Mom needs them for when she gets a break and then she can REALLY get a moment of PEACE. YOU you need a pair for when you need a good night sleep to help out in the day and give the folks a break. HOPE THIS HELPED ;)
Hang in there, Roberta! The thing about babies is that they grow & change really fast. This will end soon!
Spend some time with your friends, and do sleep down in your craft room. You could offer to watch Reid for a few hours during the day while your mom takes a nap in your craft room.Walking them sometimes helps, or rocking. I rocked for hours. jennifer
Well, Roberta, I see you’ve realized the plus side of having a baby around the house and the bad side. You’re a great older sister. You can get through this! Good luck and have fun with your new life! ♥
That does not seem good. I hope little Reid feels better soon![ and you and your family too Roberta!] >>cathouse2
Don’t worry Roberta, he will get better. Then you will be able to enjoy him more. Just think, you might have been the same way when you were a baby. It won’t last forever, even though it seems like it. I feel bad for you and your parents right now though. Hopefully Reid will get better soon. ~DP
